wh3nderson95 I particularly did not like the "classified mission modifiers", you know where they put in some modifiers to male it more difficult. Also, the ranking system in each mission I found shit. It was no bad game, but it surely not the best in the series. But I am currently quite excited about Gears4. The trailer did look quite well.

This takes place way before Gears of war 1, wouldn't be surprising if Marcus was a sergeant before being demoted and being sent to prison. In a way it makes sense, he has good leadership skills by the time he becomes a sergeant in GoW1 probably because he already has experience.

Not a mistake. He was a Sergeant for a couple of years already at this point. He was promoted from Corporal after the Battle of Aspho Fields where they stole the Hammer of Dawn technology from the UIR. Marcus was a hero in that battle, but Dom lost his brother and Anya her mother. After Marcus was thrown in prison, he was more or less demoted when he returned to the Army. Hoffman just gave him his old rank back after Kim was killed.

What happened was, Marcus has received a direct order to abandon his father, and assist the COG. Chris Lagann this game takes place about 6 weeks after e-day, the books tell you that after some time using the retro, it was ineffective against locust in close quarters, so Adam Fenix developed the lancer to replace the retro because the bayonets would break against the skin of the locust, and all this wouldn't have happened if tai kaliso didn't use a chainsaw to kill a locust drone during a firefight.

Probably not, but its not really for me to decide. Its not a decision that I will hopefully ever have to make, thank God. All I know, from observation and study, is that war is hell. PERIOD. What that hell does to people can make them do things that they never thought possible under normal circumstances.

Well, because the Locust pretty much fucked their entire air force on E-day, basically. I mean, when planes were taking off, how hard is it for the Locust to dig out the runway? Reavers are fast, but only as fast as King Ravens - they wouldn't compete with a jet. Karn knew this and acted accordingly.

Jacob Robinson Even with jets,I doubt the COG air force would have it of much use.They don't have or can't afford enough resources to maintain jets(in real life its cost millions).They can't even maintain a heavily fortified base(Anvil Gate) let alone an airfield with a lot of open space.King Ravens are much more cheaper and effective

+LinksRoyal IMO this gears was the worst of the 4 so far. Gone are the days of skill. Gears of war Ultimate edition is a lot better (but a lot more violent). It's basically a remastered copy of gears 1.

It's the worst of the franchise, but that doesn't say anything when the other games are as follows; Gears 1: An original classic with great story and characters. Gears 2: An exciting game with great weapons and sections, such as riding both a Reaver and a Brumak, and driving a Centaur. Gears 3: Arguably the best Gears game, with great weapons, amazing story, brilliant enemies, and a higher than average tearjerking moment for games. Usually you find one, but Gears 3 for the longest time made me cry twice in one playthrough. The best part? The first cry was Dom's death, and I had KNOWN about it beforehand! And I still cried with it! Powerful (side note, I recently watched the cutscenes, and I cried with Dom's death again. That's incredible power, for a game from roughly a decade ago still making you cry for an event you are reminded about nearly 24/7) Gears 4: A great continuation of the Gears franchise, with loveable characters, a really well designed new enemy (that's very rare with games that basically had a major part of their core being based around their enemies), good comedy, and some of the most fun weapons I have used to date. Gears 5: Arguably the best story of any Gears game, with incredible references, callbacks, characters, weapons, comedy, and more. I mean, we all love the Lancer chainsaw, myself included, but the Lancer GL was awesome too! Paduk also helps too. If you look at those first 3 games, or look at all five, can you really blame Judgment for being the worst? It's not even bad, it's just nothing compared to the rest. It's like generic oatmeal, bland, basic, nothing fancy. It's like comparing Ratchet & Clank 1 to any other Ratchet game, compared to the rest it's really not that special. Judgment is a good game, but if one was to look only at the absolute best a franchise had, Judgment wouldn't be the first when it comes to Gears.

@@cynthiagarza4494 No. I used both the Hammerburst and the Retro. The Retro started kicking after the first shot. The Hammerburst took three. That, and the bloom on the Retro is just fucking disgusting. Even the Hammerburst once it started kicking didn't have that much bloom. To explain, the Retro's bloom was basically the width of the Sawed Off after the first shot, making full auto fire at a minimum range of 10 feet impossible, not without missing half of your magazine. Absolutely ridiculous.

I really enjoyed this game. My only complaint is that the lancer MK2 is in the campaign. Considering thay this game is set less than a year after E-Day. And the MK2 lancer wasn't invented yet.

There's a lot of inconsistency in this game. Many Weapons and enemies that weren't used until Gears 2 or 3 are used in this game, one set long before the events of those games.
