This game introduced wallbouncing, allow me to explain: In gow 1/UE, it was called wallbouncing because your character has to actually touch the wall before they can slide to the next piece of cover, hence why it's called "wallbouncing". Ever since gow 2, it's technically called "wallcanceling" because you can cancel the animation of your character sliding into a wall, hence why you can "wallbounce" faster in every game except 1/UE

So hyped for E-Day, was a huge fan of the first 3 and after passing the campaign on UE coop again I was heartbroken to see that it’s dead on PC. Having a blast playing 5 but I hope that they return to a slower paced game again similar to 1-3.

I was getting that same message last night. I thought The Coalition had shut the servers down, but this video goes against that.

I tried playing last night and kept getting an error message saying I couldn’t connect to the servers. I thought The Coalition had just shut the servers down, but then how is he playing online here? Are the servers actually still running, but they just had a malfunction that shut them down temporarily?

They had to have gone down sometime after this uploaded. Apparently tc hasn’t acknowledged it but lots of ppl have been mentioning the issue now. I saw someone say they were hoping on the slim chance of a mega patch that enables cross play and stuff to hype up e day. Probably not the case but a nice thought

My guy missed the crucial wall bounce 0.50 😆 are there discord servers for gears 1? I wanna play again but I live out in New Zealand/Australia. Used to be in the top 10 clan EA when this game first game out lol almost 20 years ago now omgggg

Ultimate Edition is popping online on the US East servers on Thursdays and Fridays for TDM. On Xbox anyways. Idk bout PC.

I had like 8k hours in Gears 1, man the memories... so nostalgic to see the game alive but gotta say matchmaking design is pure trash, no map choice, no lobby search option WTF devs? those are straight up basic options to have in any multi

Warzone is THE game mode though. WAY better as single life mode. Wingman for Gears 2 was the best

Don’t be so sure. I tried playing it last night and I kept getting an error message saying that I couldn’t connect to the servers. I thought The Coalition had shut down the servers, so I’m confused how this guy was able to play recently.

@What.99 I got in a couple tdm matches. It was lame though. I am level 400 I saw a couple 100's but most below 100. I haven't played UE in years. I was rusty, but nothing is more satisfying than the dome pops.
