@ tbh the series. Saying the game "sucks" is alittle harsh so my bad on that. I still see this game series as something that's overstaying it's welcome because at the time of release this game was overhyped, and when the game was release i had mixed feelings towards it. Then i tried 2, 3, and even judgement and while i did see some improvements, it still feels like they haven't gotten any better. It's multiplayer campaign (horde more) can be fun I'll give it that. But the series as a whole doesn't reallh hold up imo as something as big as HALO.

Theres a huge fan base here too but South America and Mexico doesnt have a buch of beta politics ruining male role models or downing the protagonist for being men. So More power to em. But with all the Mexicans we have here most dont play games...they come to get work and get lives started and then their kids play. But i love going online and finding the old games still live and i dont mind them and they play with me so fuck yeah viva gears. Plus Microsoft really pushed this game and the 360 down there and its still popular even in 2019

Plus If I'm watching one of these episodes, I've either already played the game, or never plan to and just wanna hear a "complete" rundown of it, story and all. I was personaly suprised that there was a change. I admit I don't follow anything outside his mainchannel, so if there was a vote or a discussion about it, I missed it, but I really miss that part. I understand his feelings about not wanting to spoil anything, but this is the internet. Everyone who wants to be spoiled, has been spoiled already. If there is another reason, why personaly doesn't like it, I will try my best to understand it, however if it is just that, then I see it as a distruption of the "completionist journey" he might want to convey to us. From start to finish. His passion for games. Sure, if it is a good agme, he would like us to "play" or "complete it", however that's not possible for everyone and for some will never be (for obvious reasons). Bottom line, I feel like something important is missing now and it feels after all these years "incomplete", in lack of a better word.

The new content in this remake is brutal, especially on the hardest difficulty (as you quickly learned). The rest of the game was a cake walk compared to that section. And insane multi achievements like this just blow. I'll never finish them, I have too many other multiplayer games that I also want to play than to just dedicate all my time to a single one. It just isn't worth it, at all.

And the amazing part is that until at least Gears of War 3, which is the last one I played, they had included a newer and worse version of that achievement in each and every successive entry.

GOW 2 I was done with all the achievements but seriously 2.0. I reloaded that brumak level for 12 hours straight on a highschool saturday. all i had was music to get me through no 2nd tv or anything to watch something while i did it. THIS STILL HAUNTS ME!

Mostly because it is a complete different approach to his old format. He wants to convey a journey, but is also doing some kind of review. Somethign finished and something that is in process. It just doesn't mix well. Another problem is, that if he is set on going this road, it won't be the completionist anymore. At least not like the past years. it will be a completly different approach to the same topic, with a different flavour. Some might like it, some might not. Right now it just doesn't balance out.

I must say, seeing the new assets, I don't like it too much. I think the past assets worked way better for the format of the show. In the past it was always clear what the different sections meant, but... ''The Legend''? ''The Strategy''? I really don't know what those segments are supposed to be about. The only clear one is ''The Reward'' imo. I also think these assets don't fit your style at all. I think they look pretty generic to be honest. The past assets were full of personality. I'm not saying these are terribly done, because they're not. I just think that these assets don't fit with The Completionist. Sorry for that little rant, but just had to leave this comment, since I noticed that the assets kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

I don't think anyone expects you to throw the assets out of the window immediately, but hopefully you can figure out something new to do with the assets while staying true to what made the other assets so charming and fun.

I can totally relate, yet, I believe to know what is meant with the segments. You have to keep in mind, that the show is actually based on the completionist playstyle, meaning, unlocking everything to 100%. Jirard wanted to streamline the format for this purpose. "The Strategy" shows what has to kept in mind for doing so, he explains what he will do, what possible problems will show up with the completion, etc. "The Legend" refers to the game itself, I believe. It, beeing legendary (or something, I don't really get it either), he continues with the usual analysis of story and presentation. "The Battle" comes down with the gameplay and former struggle aspects. And "The Reward" explains itself.

God, once you got to the 10k achievement, I had flashbacks to when I was testing "True Son of the Emperor (40,000 kills combine in all game modes)" on Warhammer 40k Space Marine or the three worst achievements for Darksiders which are "Slayer (Kill 666 Demona)," "Dark Rider (100 miles on horse back (employee of the month for the win))", and "River of Blood (3000 gallons of demon blood)" for THQ. You had a sound strategy to get that achievement 10k. I salute you, sir!

My only gripe with the new format is the little Jirard scenes during the gameplay. It's one thing like the FNAF videos where they were live, genuine recordings but these are so obviously reenacted moments and they just don't feel convincing at all. Other than that though I'm liking the new format with the Completion emphasis a whole lot. Also that's the best achievement grinding loophole I've ever seen. Thanks, Japan!

I am a HUGE fan of this show, Ive watched it for years. And I really wanted to say my opinion about the new format, I hate it. I feel like it is not you, the ""Lets play" like segments are something that feels like its from angryjoe, the green screen bits where you pop up in the middle of the gameplay are distracting and feel weird, I miss the old music/layout I feel like the new formats music and transitions are super dull and generic, the old ones always had a real FLOW to them and the whole show was building up to something, like everything was there for a reason not to be just a joke. It honestly feels like an insult to my intelligence when you do the facecam lets play bits like you are trying to entertain 7 year olds, its bad, the parts with the green screen take me away from what you are saying as well. This entire video felt random, like it was going no where. The new formats bad dude, I am sorry but its just terrible. I hope I did not come off as overly critical but I love the work you do here and thought I would throw my 2 cents in and express my distaste of some of the new things.
