@Aten Industries Yeah I definitely see where the sentiment comes from what with how terms like Fascism have become a largely meaningless buzzword to throw around at anything or anyone you don't like. Or how the newer games treating the COG as either a joke or an obstacle to be worked around is to disregard all that they did in the previous games to insure that humanity survived. But I honestly don't feel like that's what they where going for in tactics as all three main heroes have rather fair and legitimate reasons for why they feel the way they do about the COG ranging from mistrust due to being left to die, weariness over the rather callous disregard for the lives of their men, and a desire to unveil the true about just how deep the corruption runs within the COG administration.

People Can Fly (the studio that made the game) wanted a game that took place right after E-Day but they didn't want to get rid of the Lancers - so they put it in. If they were to ever to a remaster, they should get rid of them and make them Retro Lancers. They also put in stuff in Judgment that wasn't introduced until Gears 2 and 3 like the Kantus and Serepedes, etc.
