This car has come a long way, from a automatic grocery getter in a backyard overgrown with weeds, to my buddy Mike where we converted to 5 speed and dropped the type r b16 in he picked up from culpeper va, to your hands where it was made proper. This car started in my driveway and it still amazes me this is that car and how far you have made it. Incredible
@ceelo33243 ай бұрын
Woah, you're part of the pedigree of the car? Cool!
@truckerguy283 ай бұрын
@ceelo3324 long before it landed in Ben's hands. I was involved in rescuing it from the weeds behind a house. It was automatic, d16y7 barely hanging on to life, previously silver, light gray interior. I assisted in a dark gray interior swap, converting it to manual and swapping it to the type R that was in the car when he bought it. Back from my younger years. It was at the time my best friends car, he sold it to Ben pretty cheap. It wasn't perfect. Just a bs build from collected parts for fun. Nothing serious or race or car show quality. Most of the parts were hand me down, just thrown together for a daily

It's not often that I appreciate someones progress when they have sponsors, helping hands, handouts etc etc, as it's often skewed and so few of "us" can achieve what you have (how many engine swaps and rebuilds and dyno time and gewrbox mods etc etc) - however it clearly matters to you which only comes from dedication and that's how I would be, so I cant fault you and wish you all the best...

Sweet build. Love the front. I got a 92 Prelude Si with h22a4 swap. For brakes, for $200 I got a couple Afco forged aluminum 4 piston calipers, 11.75 " 350z rotors drilled for my pattern and I welded new caliper brackets onto the knuckles i made from some plate steel and tapped the holes. Did a lot in the back too, but thats another story. I did everything so i could keep the cost as low as possible. If i seen something i liked but didnt think i vould afford it, if at all possible, i made it. I even made my stock hood look pretty damn cool. Thats what i get the most compliments on. The best way i can describe it as a "invader style cowl induction" hood. I wanted one like that, but couldnt find any like that. Not that i would have paid it anyways.
