Hey Nick, love watching your builds! I built an audio production PC for my older brother in the A3 recently (inspired by your review!). Luckily I didn't have such a beefy GPU to work with, so I was able to fit 2 Noctua fans down below for intake and 3 up town for exhaust. Has been working like a dream without making any noise. Keep up the great work, my friend.

If you said nothing else, you would've still got a like for, "I'm not really into the RGB thing." Add in the number of tips & tricks, with visuals, as well as explaining the reason(s) for a certain order of operations in a given build, and I see a solid video. I reckon it doesn't hurt that I also want that case (with the wood front), and the same CPU and cooler. Plus, the XFX 7900 XT I want is "supposed" to fit under that same cooler. The PSU form factor solves a few issues I've seen in other A3 builds, and the low profile memory sticks... understated, yet all business. Perfect.👍

thank you so much for your testing and insights! it encouraged me to make a similar build. but with the gigabyte 4080 super and corsair rm850x as well as thermalright phantom assassin 120 SE. ive got 2 lian li p28 120mm fans as well and will use it as you show. however, the side intake fan touches both CPU fan and the PSU chassis. i mean, it closes without force but its in permanent touch of those two. dunno if that can be a problem? also ive got a spare corsair 120mm slim fan without any other use than in this build. i understand your take on the thermals here, but i guess the one place where it would not do harm (likewise not too much good maybe) is bottom right of the GPU, just below the side fan, right? or would you say just dont change a bit and stick to 2 fans in a setup like this? edit: it was all fine with 3 fans.

have you tried flipping the rear exhaust fan to an intake(as well as the cpu cooler)? seems like it would be pretty a pretty decent solution, but then the exhaust becomes a bit weird, i guess you would still want a mid/low rpm/cps fan exhausting where youre now using an intake fan. this would probably work well with a gpu that would primarily exhaust through the side as well.

I saw a build using liquid cooler and there air went up and I was wondering how would I make this with air cooler. This makes sense, but I am thinking, if I should use liquid cooler myself. I have never had one. I may also go with Fractal North for more space, because this case is basically only less tall, but takes the same space. Although, I am considering, if I mount my PC on the bottom of my test. In that case I think I should buy a case with front to back cooling direction. Here the PSU pushes air up.

Very difficult to choose between: Dan C4-SFX, SAMA IM01 Pro, Meshroom S V2, ASUS Prime AP201 MicroATX, Jonsplus Z20 and A3-mATX wooden. Also wonder why u pick mATX and not ITX. ITX give more space for fans under GPU. Most important for me are dust filters. This it is on front if wood versio and under, maybe behind was. But cant put fans pull air in without dust filters. Possibly if there is no space for FANS on bottom, then just put all fans blow out so air will be suck from bellow. This case is not designed to use aircooler, other video explain it. If u want quiet pc you would buiild 200mm fan case only with Noctua air CPU cooler like my versio cooler master H500M with 4x 200mm
