well... I still have it and it is used here.. 😅 the small pivatable fan inside is maybe an idea to keep the fully glass side panel and still have a casefan for the GPU. but uh, the HAF X had a (plexi)glass panel with a 200mm fan, so it is indeed possible...

For cable management, I am a big fan of making it useful. Unless it's a showpiece, having it be functionally tidy, so it's not just a mess, but you can actually use it and changing things around isn't inefficient. I did finally manage to fix up my space here and build the gaming machine! It's alive!

I personally don't like these glass sidepanels which cover the whole side from top to bottom because I don't like to see the HDD Caddy through the glass for example. Great video (as always)! By the way, one of your videos in the past inspired me to build a PC in a Phanteks case and I never regret that decision. Greetings from Germany!

I prefer the glass panels that extent only to the ceiling of the PSU shroud, like Cooler Master did with the NR400 and NR600 or Phanteks with the P300A and NZXT's cases.

This is a very good case, it's going to be a big commercial success for sure. For beginner and medium PC users. Make sure to get the biggest harddisk possible to work around the low harddisk count and it's good to go. In future external harddisk on top of the case via usb is also a possibility. Not expensive, not too big, not to heavy... harddisk are properly cooled, gpu has extra cooling. Almost nothing wrong with it, though those radiator tubes a bit close to the back rare fan. Nice stand, nice glass, easy to open, easy to close, easy to remove top dust filter. Not sure if it has a front filter, if not that is ok, no obstruction. Only thing missing is frontal drive bays... but could be worth the sacrifice for good airflow. Oiling the 200mm fans might be a bit tricky with springs and metal rings. Though 200 mm fans probably last very long cause oil don't evaporate so fast as with 90 mm fans. Hmm the case is a bit flimsy and the air intake is somewhat blocked... still not bad.

I just got a brilliant idea for a case design. Giving excellent cooling and bling at the same time without taking as much footprint as an O11. Mix the lian li Q58 with a full size case. Bottom half of the pannel is ventilated, top half is glass. Cut them just bellow the first PCIe slot. To be able to see the GPU. Put these flexible fan mounts on the bottom pannel interior to be able to blow on the GPU. You can even make the bottom part a bit smaller to see half of a vertical GPU and push air to the other half.

take a look at the "original" old one, the HAF X. a second 200mm fan is in the sidepanel which blows air directly onto the GPU. and there is enough (plexi)glass to see the inside aswell.

I have a 6 yr old Cooler Master 500 pro case that doesn’t have this level of open area at top and front, yet my 3080 Ti stays below 76 C under 100% load (3 T30 fans in front, NF-A14 in back, 240 Aorus rad in top). This model should be very good at temp control.

IMO 200 mm front fans are still iconic to the HAF series even though Lian Li has included them quite successfully in a few of their recent cases

How is the noise of the fans compared to the other cases? For mine, the 200mm require less rpm, but due their age, they are comparable louder, but the hum frequency is lower. As someone who had and still has the HAF X: due it being a modern case, I like the general support of radiators. I suppose that's why the top 200mm fan is there.. Additionally the ability to mount some big radiators on the top is also really nice. - The HAFX doesn't do that really. I really miss that fan on the side panel - the HAFX already shows you can combine a (plexi)glass panel with a (huge) fan. Like you said, the amount of drive mounts is really low for such a huge case. I like the feet of the case. For the HAFX, I added a DVD drive and a multi-card reader in the top. Additionally, it fit 5 HDDs and a SSD in there aswell. (nowadays 1xHDD+2xSSD) So damn... my plan was to go with a smaller case. 😅 So I guess I'm gonna stay with AMD and Coolermaster at the next build which will come soon(tm) 🙂

I know this is an old review but I'm personally considering this case since I've seen it priced at $100. It would be replacing my Fractal Design Meshify C. Good review! Speaking of cable management -- my personal preference is for cases to have metal panels on the back, cable-side (instead of transparent/glass panels) in order to conceal cable-management. I like tempered, tinted glass panels for the component side. I personally don't understand why case manufacturers would even consider making cases have glass/transparent panels on the cable-side. To me, it's non-sense -- or at least make it optional. Who cares to look at cable management? What is there really to show off? An example is Fractal Design's Torrent cases (Black only). They have glass panels on each side. The white version of that case has a metal panel on the cable-side which makes sense because it would ruin the white-theme BUT the black cases have glass on each side. BUT, IMO, it makes absolutely NO SENSE to REQUIRE the black version of that case have a cable-side, glass panel. I love the aesthetic of that case but having a glass panel on the cable-side was a deal breaker for me. Another case I was looking at is the Antec Performance 1 FT -- same thing, each side has glass panels = no thanks. But, I like this one! It HAF a metal, cable-side panel = me likey :)

A true king of air cooling would have no top exhaust, good clearance behind the case and would have bigger bottom fan intakakes. Probably not as good for air cooling as a Fractal Torrent, but I'm so glad Cooler Master is staying in the game, I love the thiccboy look of their cases!

That angled fan on the cage reminds me a lot of the haf-x with it's graphics card shroud - was effectively push-pull with the hdd mounts sandwiched in-between. TBH though I don't see much as a need for it as you would of back then now that case design language no longer 1) designs around hdds mounted behind front-intake 2) practically every case front-intake has nothing behind it anymore and has a direct airflow path to the components (you only concern these days are cases with closed-off front panels choking air) Still would add to the case aesthetics though with an additional RGB fan if you have an unhealthy RGB fetish like me ...

It does not have a front dust filter......removing the front panel is horrible....the PSU cover is small and open......these faults are unforgivable in a 2022 case.

I have the H500M. What makes it better (I only ask out of curiosity)? Seems like this one offers better cable management, for example, though I prefer the aesthetics of the H500M. Curious to see where your mind is on it. May help make/break a purchase. :P
