The short answer is, a big country with wide open spaces, needs big trucks. The Kenworth trucks shown here bear no resemblance to their US counterparts apart from the badge. The Australian built COE for example, has won a slew of Engineering Excellence Awards. It must also be remembered, Scania, Volvo & MAN, also compete in the mining sector & are used by many fleets.
