The Gearz crew mount up and head out to visit a young gearhead whose love of wrenching started with 4-wheelers and has grown to include 4-wheel drive pickups. Young Adam has a few surprises in store as Stacey visits him in his dad’s garage and discusses tools, storage and tearing apart things to see how they work. Then, it’s back in the shop as Stacey takes on the big question every gearhead has: What OTHER tools should I have in my box? A look beyond the typical wrenches, hammers and clamps will show you what you may need and what you may not, depending on your project. Finally, Stacey shows you some tricks on how to bring a tired paint job back to life with the right buffing pads and compounds…..all this and more only on GEARZ!!

My first new from the dealer pick up was a 2000 z71 off road short bed. Man I loved driving that rig. Every place I went was fast and sideways until the tickets came and helped me grow up 😁

This kid will go far in life with his dreams and drive. I like trucks to ride level, I don't want any vehicle to be higher in front than the back

I like your shows and have ever since you started back in the 90's. I only wish there were new ones more often and not as many reruns. Are we going to be able to see the wrecker completed?

Give the kid a break.. It's HIS truck and he's doing it the way HE wants it.. Not the way YOU want it.. Do what you want to YOUR truck, that's the whole point of Stacy doing what he's doing and I think it's great.

I would have to say the best tool any Gear Head should be a Chelten or one of those mechanic Bibles because how can you fix something even if you have all the proper tools if you don't have the manual just say how to do something enjoy the program I wish we had gears TV down here in Arizona

I hope the young gearheads learn to lower their head lights when they have the front end up... if not, low beams turn into blinding high beams... and the low beams don't cover the road as well either.. c'mon man!!!

Obviously he will never tow anything with that truck. Headlights are aimed at the sky as is. Absolutely no thought into the handling aspect of having a 6 inch front lift and stock rear suspension. Yikes!

Stacey,have loved your stuff for years,but must say was thoroughly disappointed in the paint tutorial.Just claybarring would have fixed most of the stuff you fixed buffing without the risk of burning up the paint.Using buffers,pads,and compounds are a distinct skill set that requires a good deal of practice.Go to Ammo NYC for good tutorials on this.
@gambj

2011Fatman13 As an Ammo Nyc sub you should know better my friend... clay is absolutely never the answer for removing any sort of paint imperfection like swirls or scratches, only to remove the surface contamination like tar or fallout. Clay even mars the paint on a small scale, the opposite effect of polishing. Perhaps refer to an Ammo Nyc video on clay for more information ;)
