Very nice and very useful videomanual. But even though I had difficulties to set the amount of flushed water. I couldn't flush more than 5 liters (no matter how I set the blue thing). It took me quite long time to find out why. The manual says to cut the white tube according the table. According the water level + distance ≥20mm. The sign "≥" means "greater than or equal". So I cut 35mm which is ok according the sign. And that was a mistake. You have to cut precisely 20mm, not more than 25mm above water level !!! Afer doing that, everything was ok. And one more thing: No manual describes where to put back the blue rod which you've disconnected at the beginning. It's not obvious for everyone that you have to put it in the same hole number as the number which you set the black sliding top.

Hi Andrej, thanks for your comment and for sharing your experience. The specification of ≥20mm does not come from Geberit but is prescribed by the EN 14055 standard. And you are right, putting back the blue rod is not shown exactly in the video, but it is described in the installation manual that comes with the product. We'll keep it in mind for future installation videos.

@@GeberitGroup In my case the problem was exactly that the manual was missing from *local* Geberit webpage and I had to visit a webpage that is not *local* to my country to find the manual. See: catalog.geberit.lv/en-BL/Geberit-flush-valve-type-240,-dual-flush/PRO_180430.html this is the page for the same product leading to this video, but it has empty document section. Only UK webpage has the documents section. So yeah, it's confusing.

@@karolock sprawa jest prosta. trzeba kupić uniwersalną spłuczkę i po prostu postępować wg instrukcji. w zależności od głębokości rezerwuaru trzeba odpowiednio dociąć pewne elementy i zamontować.

Bardzo fajny i pomocny filmik. Jedyne do czego mógłbym się przyczepić na filmiku jest pokazane ze podczas napełniania zbiornika woda wypełnia rurę przelewową a nie powinno jej tam być. Zabrakło mi również instrukcji regulacji małego spłukiwania, aby ustawić 3l chyba że to idzie z automatu skoro duże spłukiwanie ma 6l.

What do these numbers 1-4 at the bottom (blue slider) do?

These are marks to ensure he valve has the correct hight in the cistern. The valve can be fitted also in other non-Geberit cisterns.

@@GeberitGroup In illustrated manual say that is for adjusting water level when flushing water at high volume. For low volume there is one adjust for blue big plastic piece and indeed works. For high volume adjustment must be made by these blue slider,but in my case have no effect.

Is it necessary to cut/saw the top off (after measuring)? What happens when I don't do this? I haven't done it now, and it seems to be working. (The top is 2 cm above water lever.) Thank you.

It seems to be ok as you've described. It only needs to be shortened if the overflow (standpipe at the flush valve) is too high.

Normally it should not drip. Please check all seal rings and clean up the cistern from limescale.
