@@Koko-mt4fn well it's different in every state but, my test was mainly about global warming and fossil fuels and some reproduction stuff. For some reason I didn't get any space science. I know your planting the seeds for algebra with the last mean question but why with that question when it can be so much quicker and simpler. Take the mean and multiply it by the number of days then just subtract the remaining numbers (add the known temperatures all together before you subtract if that’s quicker for you) and you still get 93 without the unnecessarily complicating algebra

Hi, thank you for watching and thank you for the feedback. I take feedback very seriously and have used it to make several changes in the past. Let me explain where I'm coming from here when I write questions like the one your commenting on. Ultimately, my mission is to help as many people pass the GED as possible. My philosophy is that I'd rather provide too much detail and explanation than not enough. That being said, I can totally see how that would be frustrating. One change I plan to make in the future is to put out shorter and more concise videos in addition to the longer ones I make, which will hopefully help those who are looking for that style of video. Again, thank you for watching. I'm wishing you the best of luck.

@neitherpoet Жыл бұрын
they mean a transfer of energy from one organism to another, ie. a fly's energy will be transferred to the frog when the frog eats it, and so on! hope this helps :)
@TestPrepChampions Жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for the confusion. The arrows are showing the transfer of energy. In other words, they are pointing to the animal or animals that will eat it. For example, the arrow points from the minnows to the bluegills. This tells us that the bluegill is higher up in the food chain than the minnow and will eat the minnow. Does that answer your question? I hope this helps.
@TestPrepChampions Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is correct. Thanks!
@nachoboi262 жыл бұрын
7:33 I thought the result should be Passing the test, so the independent variable should be the score instead of how much time he spent. Because someone could pass the test without study at all, and some can't. So the score is the key to decide the result.
@TestPrepChampions2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for watching. I 100% agree that some people barely study and pass, while others study long hours to pass. However, in this example, we are only concerned with what happened in Zach's case, not in a general case that could be applied to any student. Simply put, changing the amount of time he studied changed his score. To get the better score, he had to increase his study time. The score was dependent on the study time in the example. I hope this helps.

Hi, thank you for watching. In this example, he changed the amount of time he studied, and his grade changed as a result. Thus, the amount of time he studies was the independent variable, and the dependent variable was the grade. On the examples I've seen by the official GED Testing Service, they have the arrows pointing the way I have them in the video. If I do another example like this in the future, I'll try to be make it more clear what the arrows mean. Thanks again for watching. Wishing you the best of luck!

Can I apply medical school after GED??
@Koko-mt4fn2 жыл бұрын
I also want to go to med school it is my dream.😔But I think it's too difficult and challenging. Bc you need first to get you GED then take a very good pre-med course for 4 years then can apply to med school . Some good pre-med courses don't accept you with your GED thy want you to do some foundation or A-level😪😪

Medical schools do not care about your education before undergrad. People with a ged could get their ged, study for 2 years at a community college, then get their bachelors(a requirement for most med schools) at a 4 year college, do their pre requisites there for med school applications, then get volunteering, and all that etc. required at the moment you apply to med school. It is fundementally important that you apply with a really good gpa(do good kn community college and 4yr college) and a great MCAT score, along with all the other requirements. You could also just opt to go straight into a 4 yr university that accpets your ged and do great in your classes to get a high gpa. The road is long and hard, but if it is what you want it’s worth it. But essentially medical schools don’t look at highschool, or your ged in general.

Ok the food web part is like backwards I don’t know how to describe it. It goes minnows then bluegills so what I thought was minnows eat the bluegills but I forgot that what’s higher in the food chain eats what is below it
@TestPrepChampions Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for watching. I can understand how this can get confusing. I've had other test-takers ask about this before. It may be confusing because of the way the arrows are pointing. It almost makes it look like the minnows are eating the bluegills, etc. On the sample tests I've analyzed released by the Official GED Testing Service, this is how they show it, which is why I did it like this in the video. The arrows show the flow of energy,. In other words, the bluegills eat the minnows, and the energy flows from the minnows to the bluegills. I hope this helps. Thanks again for watching and good luck on your test! I appreciate you watching and commenting.

I'm not gonna lie... for a hot minute there I was confused on the fish chart because how the arrows and fish are faced lol. I thought you were implying the minnows were eating the bluegill and so on lol. After a sec I figured it out though 😂
