This brought a happy tear to my eyes when this popped up today. It was my first slow dance when I was a teenager in the very early 60's school dances. Carla Thomas always did beautiful back street harmony with girl and guy groups. When we first heard this on the radio, about 12 of my friends ran out to the record shop and bought it. we then went to someone's house after school to play and sing it 100 times ! Thank you so much for posting!!

Thank you for your feedback! After I finished that message, I went on to KZbin to fine more about Katrina Trowny , it was at that time that I learned of her passing which really shocked my heart. I was glad I had the opportunity to hear her sing even if it was on KZbin, but it’s because of KZbin that I ran across Katrina singing and when I heard the opening of the song...... Katrina caught my attention, her voice, her perfect pitch, her emotions all made me listen to that song over and over again. Thanks Katrina for opening my ears to your angelic voice and I must thank KZbin as well.

Every time I hear that song I feel like they are singing to me. Love it. I saw Carla Thomas sing it on TV on some TV show 10 years ago in and was still amazed how she sounded exactly like her original recording even though she was minus a few teeth.. What a great song. The young lady who sang on this video sounded like an Angel. Bless you.

Does anyone know the name of this lady? I personally think she out did Carla Thomas who wrote and sang this song in October 1960 which debuted at number 14 on the charts. After further investigation I sorry to say Katrina Trowny, the woman singing this song has passed away! My heart, prayers and deepest condolences goes out to the family, friends and the band members. She was part of a group called Perfect Pitch and was featured on Live At The Apollo as well where I first heard her here on KZbin.

Just a quick note that this very attractive Sister whose voice is nearly a twin of Carla's is *not* Carla Thomas who wrote this song when she was just 16 years old and recorded the enduring hit version in one take at 17. I had a 4-year long-distance high school crush on Carla just from her wonderful voice, and I'd recognize her if she were videoed or photographed in rags and a paper bag! (She - now 73 and still cute to me - was in her late 60's when this vid was posted)
