@@gamerbug94 In all seriousness, I can see the reasoning. For playable characters, you generally want as diverse a representation of any and all traits as possible. You never want a shortage of female characters, and in this case a shortage of disney characters. Mulan helps shore up both of these. Why cut Roxas? Well, there's a fair assumption that people will get ventus and roxas mixed up, and sora has the dual wielding ability, so roxas is the natural cut.

XIII cloak and he's easy to tell the difference. hell make him the dual wielder seeing his iconic look is with Oathkeeper and Oblivion and give Sora something along the lines of Trinity seeing him, Donald, and Goofy are "All for one and one for all" This is a Kingdom Hearts game first with Disney being the second. I mean come on they could have had ANY other character from KH and no one would of batted an eye. Axel, Eraqus, Ansem the Wise, Namine, all kinds of characters from X, The original members of the organization and so much more. Now some of the characters are more side or minor at best, but Roxas and Axel are mainstream popular and there was no reason they had to get the cut. Oh what's that? It's too many males and not enough females? Well why don't you look at the main focus of this game and see for what it's SUPPOSED to be. A game INSPIRED from the license.

This KH version of Talisman has such HUGE potential for expansions! The base game is primarily focused on characters, locations and enemies from KH1. They could very easily create several expansions for this version, and introduce items, characters, enemies and locations from KH2, BBS, DDD and KH3 (and also add in the FF characters)!

Great watching them play but just a few rules clarifications 1. The option to move 1 space rather than roll is a house rule not official 2.When fighting the 1000 heartless you do not automatically move up in to the next spot the rules state that if you land on the 1000 heartless and defeat them you move on your next turn, you can however stop on that space, defeat them and then carry on moving with the rest of your movement (E.G you are 2 spaces away at the start of your turn and roll a 4 you can move 2 on to the space, fight and then move 2 into the middle region) 3. You do not roll when fighting the 1000 Heartless you just have to beat a strength 9 4.Fate tokens can be traded in against any roll That's just the stuff of the top of my head I watched the video yesterday so may have missed some bits, it has really inspired me to get my copy off the shelf again though and its really fun watching people play, I would have thought the rules would have been well known by one of the creators though

As a fan and owner of this kingdom hearts game I’m confused on the character selection they choice ( don’t think they knew Roxas was a major character as well and was passed by Mulan which was a minor character in the second game). Hopefully they add a expac with new characters ( Roxas, Axel, (should be the first to be included)Alice ,Hercules,Aladdin, or add other world companion here).

Future reference the Brave Warrior was a direct upgrade to the sword, you got 1 str no matter what. The ring just gave you the extra perk of also at the same time being even better against bigger monsters.

I don’t know if the same designer did the Harry potter Talisman too, but here are just 2-3 Things they could have made in the game after the HP one: - factions, like good guys against bad ones - levels of adventure cards, for external and central region, so to have harder enemies for the middle region - final boss in the really final spot, not just in random internal spot, and with fixed and high power not set with random dice roll (that could be too easy!)

I know lore is up for interpretation in this game but I thought the point of Destiny Island was that they find Star Fruit, they break it or eat it or share it. Legend states that when you do, you and the person you share a Star Fruit with will have their destiny intertwined but since it was the three of them (Kairi, Sora, and Riyu) all three are mixed and Kingdom Hearts came to be

Question, I wanted to see how the villains are played for this game. Unfortunately they kept being discarded... I am a bit confused if the villains' effect happen immediately to the player that draws them and if they stay on the board/location for the rest of the game. I believe only Ursula is only one that explicitly say that it will stay on the board until something happens. So I don't if other villains will stay on the board forever or not.

Yeah, the design is pretty dated now. It's basically a roll-and-move with very limited ways to manipulate your rolls. Was a huge fan of Talisman back in the 90's, but it's really beginning to show its age. Only play this if you're in the mood for "let's just see what happens and have some fun", not if you want to actually play a competitive game.

@@TorSverre I think they did better with the base idea when they made Relic (the Warhammer 40k variant of Talisman), as they added some new mechanics. Specifically, there were multiple decks, each one based on a different base stat, and you're more likely to fight enemies that use the matching stat in each deck (though not always). Spaces told you which deck to draw from, so there was actually a reason to land on one space over another. Also, each "spell" card had a number; whenever you would roll the die, you can discard one of them to use the card as your roll instead, so you had a lot more control over where you land. If they had used some of those elements here, I think it would have been a lot better. As it is, the game just feels kinda flat, especially when it feels like some cards are just "We have this card in Talisman, we need to find an appropriate KH skin to slap on it".

I got right to the end b4 deciding i wanted to get the reward for completing the recipe list and i got bored of finding all the ingredients and just never finished the game. I love kh3, it became my favourite in the series dethroning birth by sleep but i just never got around to finishing it, i really should now there's DLC for it too

Hi I have a question when you enter a combat, it seems you are using the characters strength & magic to defeat an enemy, but in the rules it says to use the strength OR the magic? am I misunderstanding? for me if a heartless enemy has 1 strength then the character must fight with their strength only?

Still I'd love to get expansions to the game that had new PC characters like Jack Skelington, Lea, Cloud Strife, Tarzan etc. Possibly different types of heartless and maybe even some high level bosses like Ansem and the Nobodys. That would be epic.

Hi! Could someone explain for me, please? The Mickey player at first turn was at Disney Castle space, and she chose 1 step forward movement without rolling a die to Disney Castle's Library. But in the 2nd turn, she stepped back to Disney Castle. Isn't it a double-back? Thank you!

You cant double back in a single movement turn. So if you roll a 5 you cant go left 3 spaces and right 2. But you can go left one turn and right the next turn.

What is the group that Roxas and Axel are part of? It is called the Organization right? It is the people in long black robes, they are trying to kill Heartless in order to build a Kingdom Heart, and every member is a Heartless version of someone else (Ex: Roxas = Sora). Sidenote: That adds a whole nother level of confusion with the White Which. I don't remember her name either but she is keeping Sora in Castle Oblivion in a time pod. Apparently she is the Heartless/ opposite of Kiari.

She is Kairi’s nobody not heartless version Nobodies are different than Heartless. The White witch is Namine she can manipulate memories as she does with Sora’s. Organization Xiii is the name of the group of nobodies of people that lost their heart they are the empty shell left behind who act like they have hearts but they can’t feel.

Ventus and Roxas look the same, they wanted to equal the amount of male/female characters and Mulan is the only female companion from the games who could feasibly fight. This game was worked on before KH3 was.

I suspect they added her so that they could get more female characters, but yeah Mulan's definitely the odd duck out in this group of 11. If they wanted to add more female characters they could've added the FF girls, Aerith, Yuffie and Tifa; Although final fantasy characters are probably off-limits because of licensing issues....*sigh*...maybe in a future expansion they could add the final fantasy characters to the game (including Leon/Squall and Cloud too)

I wish the poses were more dynamic to remember be of a moment. Like... Kairi placing herself between Sora and the Heartless "This time, I'll protect you." rather... her just standing there boringly so on the card I am going to look at for the entire game. The other characters are just as boring. I'd have loved to see Mickeys being his first appearance in the series or in KH2 in his trench coat, looking over his shoulder at the gang.

To everyone watching this, they do fudge the rules A LOT in the game. I do understand "They are playing it so we can learn, its a lets play" but here's the thing, I got the game from watching it here on game the game. I opened it, looked at the instructions to play, and there were differences. *The actual how to play from game the game is correct and the game is still amazing and i suggest people to get it if they can* But playing it, there were many times I was like "Oh well I can do this because they did it in the video", nope. My family and I are rules people and go by the rulebook. I was caught off-guard from watching this video AFTER playing the game myself and reading over the rulebook many times about how many times they "fudged" rules. Again, the actual how to play from game the game is correct. I love game the game videos, and I get games from them after watching them play. Great channel and I support it, but I wish I would have known that this game play had inconsistency in the rules so I wasnt like "Well ****, I thought i could do this but i was wrong."

Its a reskin of classic Talisman that is it. Like - a few cards have been removed to make it easier on top of that. :/ no new mechanics. No keyblades , nothing. The board is... EH. Its very uninspired feeling to be honest. I got it because KH. But I don't think I'll play it as is. :/

Wait is this not a co-operative game? Why did they steal Mulan's sword and library books? The sword is perfect for her and could easily take down the 1000 Darkness with the Sword+ Magic being factored into Strength score
