This has to be my favorite GtG yet, and not just because of the Vampire (and Werewolf!) stacked cast! Simple but fun and tense game... an instant classic, much like the movie that is its namesake.

Wow. That was *tense*. And it even ended more-or-less like the end of the movie! Quin dead, the other two wounded and clinging to an almost sunk boat, and the Shark just barely finished off at the last moment. Wonderful game!

This is one of the best GtG that I've seen. Can't say that I'm a fan of hidden movement games, but the theme fits perfect for the category. The components look solid, and overall for a game of a big franchise and the mechanisms involved it looks decent. Dunno if it has enough replay value but may be worth for the price.

Was that a misplay at 47:46? Seems like you should only be able to target adjacent boat spaces for the second attack, otherwise that ability is too strong

Good play-through! One minor rule quibble that didn't really impact the game...when swimmers are added, it isn’t possible for a fresh "Beach Closed" token to be removed in a single round. It will be flipped the first round swimmers would be placed on the beach, then removed on a later round when swimmers would be added a second time. So, at 34:20, the sign should have remained at "Opening Soon", even though two swimmers were indicated to have showed up.

I never thought I'd enjoy watching people play a board game but this was great. However, I gotta say, I doubt this game happened the way it did without a little doctoring lol That played out a little too much like the movie. Quint dying, Brody and Hooper surviving. The boat almost entirely destroyed, down to the last second 😂 It was still fun though. I own this game and when playing it can get very one sided so it makes sense to doctor it up a bit for entertainment value.

I totally knew Tiffany were sharks. Those prices! This looks like a fun one, but the second act does seem a little flat if everybody uses their consumables immediately. The removal of the ability to attack adjacent spaces (with melee) at a certain number of wounds would keep it a bit more interesting I think, by forcing the players to risk their lives in order to damage the shark and also by making those shark cards more useful as the game goes on.

Great game, there's just one thing I'm not clear about. In the how to play video, Becca mentions that melee weapons can target a player's current space OR an adjacent space, which would mean that players never needs to be on the space that's attacked by the shark. I see in this video that they were only attacking with melee weapons from the space they occupied, so did Becca get it wrong in the other video or did she just not tell them that they could attack from an adjacent space here?

@@TheMarcHicks OK, let me rephrase please. In the first film, Hooper was supposed to be going on the Aurora but was called to Amity to help. In the second film he can't help as he is away on the Aurora. What I had meant was Hooper's personal boat (which I called a yacht) that they used in the first film when they find Ben Gardener's boat is not the Aurora. it is unnamed in the film. In the novel it is the "Flicka". This would be the boat in the game. I guess since the game is based on the movie, it doesn't get named. Sorry for the confusion. I also apologize if my first post came off as gruff. I need to stop leaving comments when I'm tired.

34:47 2 swimmers on one card does NOT double flip the closed beach sign. It should have been flipped once and remained in play. It flips once per Event Card that calls for a swimmer or swimmers to be added to the closed beach. This error happened on the last Act 1 turn so it did not effect the game 17:44 It is not mentioned in the film, just the novel; Hooper's boat is the Flicka

That first round, Becca only got a couple of of swimmers. I feel like there should be a rule that at the end of everyone's turn, a new swimmer should be added to the waters once they have completed their actions. The only way this is canceled is if a beach is closed or the shark is spotted.

Yes, if you attach an oxygen tank to the shark and shoot it with a pistol or rifle, it won’t kill the shark but do 8 damage, half the sharks health
