I just bought the stream deck XL today. I’m going to use it to automate a lot of task for my Amazon business with a single button press and to use with MS Office.

Great video. Might I ask how you linked the software of Titler Live to Companion? Or do you have the hardware version of titler live? I'm trying to control lower thirds and the such from titler live like the preconfigured elgato software accomplishes but with companion app running I cant use the elgato software so I basically lose that nice compatibility. So I gain the beauty of being able to run the hardware I need to control but lose the ability of the titler live software. I see you're using titler live on a separate computer (I don't need to run it off a separate computer) I just want to run teh software from the same PC that companion is already running on. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can mix/match Companion buttons in the Stream Deck app. Simply put, don't put Companion buttons where you want to use local stuff

It looks to be just the main computer. You could ask Companion software if they have a CPU option.

hi I just bought Stream Deck XL today, installed plugin and both ATEM Studio HD(instances) and Stream Deck XL (surface) seems there but I dont actually see the buttons in Stream Deck and even if I pressed the buttons it doesnt control my ATEM. Is there something I am missing? Thanks I appreciate it.

To control ATEM, you need to install Companion. It will then connect with ATEM for control.

@@SimonHodgkiss I take the last question first, - Yes companion supports multiple streamdecks in the same instance. - The reason why Bitfocus (the developers) say not to use the streamdeck program at the same time is because it is not stable enough yet to be used in productions / live and can crash / freeze the streamdeck so it needs a hard restart. It will work yes, but the stream deck can freeze after a while or if you make a mistake when you add a button. Personally I would not use them at the same time on the same stream deck, I see you have 4 stream decks. Then you have the opportunity to set up someone to run stream deck software and some to companion bitfocus. Then the possibility is less that they freeze and are safe.

You need to install the 1.4.0 version, and they've had that off the site for a couple weeks. It's back on, and as far as I have seen, VICERO is there. #goodluck and #thankyou for the question.

How did you get some buttons set up for companion and others set up for streamdeck?

I have the XL like you, and I can get companion to communicate with it and streamdeck separately. I tried a 15 button streamdeck and was able to use both streamdeck and companion on the same streamdeck using the companion button. I can see the stream deck plugin in the companion admin page along with the streamdeck. But, when I try to open up the streamdeck app while companion is running, the app doesn't see the XL but it will see the 15 button. Any ideas?

Companion buttons have to be on the left side. If you still cannot, I would contact the group on the FB forum. It's pretty active.

@@geekazine Thank you! I didn't know about the FB group. I got it to work. Stream Deck released an update last week, and the buttons are off by the numbers, (1.16 on companion is the first button on the bottom row. But it works for me. Thanks for the help!

I didnt understand anything!, i saw the whole video there is no setup steps i have stream deck and i have main and second pc the stream deck plugged in second pc which i used it to run my stream i tried to install Companion and VICREO to run thins in my main pc using stream deck like run a game or close window (alt+f4) or open browser page *Edit: I think I made it but I need more help I installed Companion on my second pc which has stream deck plugged to it I added VICREO Hotkey model and set the target ip for my main pc ** Important: set hotkey version to > 2.0.5 or it will not work I installed VICREO Hotkey program in my main pc and set the port and added it in the VICREO Hotkey Configuration i tried to added ALT+Tab+WIN button its its actually work in both pc depend where the mouse is ! All work fine now the issue for me is I want to know how to set buttons to run an app or open browser and i want to stop second pc to run the buttons in it i want only main pc to run the buttons

What a great video! :) I tried looking all over the internet to find out how I could use my stream deck to enter numbers into my computer, so in essence, my Stream Deck would double up as my numberpad. Is this possible? Anyone know how I can program the keys on my Stream Deck so that when I push the button, it enters the number?
