My favorite Naughty Dog game is Uncharted 4. They took what they did with the first 3 in terms of mechanics and arguably had the best story out of the entire franchise.

U4 was a great game, but for me it was pretty much something I had played already, with less impact of previous entries bc IMO very little topped U2, and it was a little longer than I felt was necessary. That being said, still incredible game.

Agreed 4 is the best. It closed out Nathan's storyline perfectly and the game play is top tier just a half step behind TLOU2 ( no prone etc but the story is light years better). Semi-open world allows you more variety in combat than the previous three Uncharted games. Pretty much love everything naughty dog puts out but uncharted 4 is just top shelf. I can't believe we don't have anything new from Naughty Dog. As I write this it's been 4 years and there's nothing on the horizon...😢

Might be contentious to say but LOU2 is my favorite Naughty dog game, Ik the story doesnt gel with everyone but the Gameplay mechanics and the feel and fluidity of combat is absolutely Unmatched by any other 3rd person shooter/action game..plus i love the world/lore and Setting of the Last of us Game series. The new No return mode really adds to the replayability factor and puts the spotlight even more on the masterful combat so its My fav, In terms of actual Story tho prob LOU1 or Uncharted 4.

TLOU Part 2 is probably my favorite game of all time, but it's a close race when up against my nostalgia for Jak 1 and it's collectathon perfection. My top 5 from ND would probably be CTR, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Jak 1 and TLOU Part 2 in that, ascending order. CTR is also probably the best kart racer ever made. The interplay between the item box mechanics, the hidden reserves system and the mini turbos paired with the insane shortcut potential just makes it so perfect to me. Great video and thank you for the extended thoughts on each title from such a mesmerizing developer studio!

@@fotografick Summing everything to "revenge is bad" is a pretty bad way to put it. I believe that is much more on forgiveness and understanding. Ellie didn't go out to kill Abby because she wants to avenge Joel, but because she wants to avenge Abby from stealing the opportunity to forgive Joel, which she was trying to do. It is like Thorfinn going out to kill Canute because he killed Askeladd, stealing his opportunity to avenge his father.

CTR is my favourite game of all time so that gets my number 1. I can't rank Crash Bandicoot any lower than 2nd. It was the first game I ever played on my own console and made me fall in love with gaming. The save mechanic didn't age well at all but apart from that it's as amazing to me in 2024 as it was in 1999 when I first played it.

CTR WAS SO EPIC!!! Watching my big brother beat the campaign was so cool and then getting to take up the game and teach my little sister it was so much fun! So many cool short cuts and the map designs were so sick compared to what the other racers were providing

Goodie brother, i was waiting for this video to come some day. I have played all the post ps3 naughty dog games, basically uncharted and the last of us. And as much as i loved the last of us 1, not so much the second one, just to let you know uncharted 4 is my favourite, it is one of the few non RPG or FPS games that i would concider one of the grestest experiences in video games for me. The longer campaign, the incredible for the time graphics and a more open aproach to exploration really adds up to a more enjoyable time compared to the older games in my opinion.

I really appreciate that you gave TLoU2 a fair opinion. The discourse behind the game has reached such an absurd level. I'm convinced most of the vitriol and hate that it gets is from people who haven't even played it. Whether it be they saw the leaks before it came out or just jumping on the band wagon because it's cool and they want to sound smart. They eat up the 30-minute contrarion thinkpieces and regurgitate it becoming armchair experts on game narrative. It's meant to be polarizing, but people take it to such heights that they act like they're being personally attacked from the game, lol. It just feels incredibly disingenuous for people to label it as a "bad" game.

Fun fact: you can play them all on PS4 and PS5. The Crash Trilogy + CTR NF are available as remakes on every platform, except CTR which isn't on PC. The Jak & Daxter games are available as PS2 Classics on PS4, including Jak X, I believe they work fine on PS5 through backwards compatibility. The Nathan Drake Collection was remastered for PS4 and the Legacy Of Thieves Collection exists on PS4 (seperately) and on PS5. The Last Of Us 1 was remastered twice and 2 is about to get its remaster even though it's backwards compatible. They also had more 6 games before they worked with Universal and Sony. Most popular was Way of the Warrior.

As you said when mentionning TLOU2 youre gonna get comments ;P My only gripe with your whole section about TLOU2 is that I think you underrate the improvements and modifications to TLOU2 combat ( especially adding dodges for melee and being able to run-prone, turn on your back to shoot and reload etc. Also other additions such as being able to manipulate infected to attack human npcs really opened up possibilities even tho it doesnt happen often in the game)

Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter were staples in my childhood. Warped is still my favourite Crash game, and Jak 2 is still my favourite in the trilogy. Uncharted was also great, with each game getting better than the last, with the possible exception of A Thief's End, but that's just my own humble opinion

The Last of Us 1 is a masterpiece. 2 greatly improved the gameplay, but the story and pacing is so trash that the game leaves such a bad taste in my mouth where I could only play it twice. Not to mention all the propaganda in it. TLOU1= 10/10 TLOU2 = 5/10 but hey to each their own.

If jak 2 is to hard for you. the is a actual cheat debug mode code where you can get invincible,watch all cutscenes and select missions. it works with every version. But i just found out when i was finished and had to buy a new controller😂

My favorite game from them was Uncharted 4, probably followed by Crash Bandicoot 3. The rest were just good enough games. I wish I liked the Jak and Daxter series more, but as I played them on the Vita, they were mostly just frustrating due to porting issues. Oh, but Daxter on PSP was awesome on itself.

I havent played the Jak games actually 😄 just tried it ones and i guess i didnt like it since ive never gone back there cause im not a huge fan of plattforming games. Im more of a third person cinematic shooter fan. Between Uncharted 1 and lost legacy i would maybe have Uncharted 1 just above Lost Legacy for nostalgia reasons. But they are all great in my opinion but nothing beats TLOU part 1 and 2 tho.

respect your bravery on saying crash bandicoot 1 is 2nd worst game you've earned a sub just for that. also just finished uncharted 1 and yeah it was good but the gunfights were annoying half way through felt like devs wanted to extend the game by putting in gunfights around every corner. and haven't played the last of us 2 yet going to play the first one and finish it this time then will go on part 2 and im not taking in all the criticism it got just going into it with open mind opinion. great vit mate from your friends down under australia

You could definitely still play it and enjoy it. Its a self contained story but some of the character and story beats won't hit the same as they would if you played the previous games

The first uncharted game I played was uncharted 1, the second uncharted game I played was 4 and I really enjoyed it without playing any of the others.

You can, but you'll be missing some character development which really adds to the story. It's a great story on It's own though. You could always watch a recap video for the first 3 if you don't want to play the first 3.

@@ahmedabdulwahed45 hmmm, I like it more for it's simplicity of just having guns on the map you pick up. In U3 you had loadouts and weapon mods etc if i remember, and also a sprint mechanic. Something about U2 multiplayer was just perfect. Not sure if the servers are still up for either game though

@@ChicagoBulls1984 Sadly naughty dog shut down both of u2&3 servers since September 2019. Uncharted 3 multiplayer is one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had in a video game in general. But doesn't mean that Uncharted 2 multiplayer was bad no it was a masterpiece in every way but they worked on Uncharted 3 a lit bit more especially the updates that kept the online enjoyable for many years but yes Uncharted 2 was simple and goated.

Hard disagree on Jak X being near bottom. It might genuinely be one of my fave combat racers ever made. Possibly one of the best racing games in general. But I understand your view/thoughts on it
