I own the original version but I'm tempted to grab this new, enhanced one... Such a great book!

I've been looking at resources to help with hexcrawl style fantasy tabletop rpgs recently but generally I've found most of it to be too closely adhering to specific rules or settings. This one's abstracted results and guidelines seem very promising and the dark theme really goes with the kinds of setting's I'd like to offer players

I agree that open-ended hexcrawl rubrics are hard to find!

I recommend Worlds Without Number as well. Especially as the free pdf covers nearly the whole thing.

I think this could be put to great use in Ironsworn. The one thing I could never really get my head around was making "Undertake a journey" exciting an interesting. This might help a lot. And of course it is a natural fit for soem of teh delves.

Just recently found your channel; I'm a new sub. This channel is perfect for me: your videos about solo roleplaying are ideal for my gaming style! Thank you! Btw, I ordered your "Wanderings" book, and I'm very happy to have it now. It is charming, engaging, and beautiful to admire. This "Wyrd and Wild" book is very appealing. I only see the pdf copy available on DriveThru. I would prefer the gorgeous hardcover book in my hands. How do I get a hardcover version of "Wyrd and Wild?"

Oh thanks so much for the subscription and ordering my book! I’m so glad you are enjoying it and if it’s not asking too much I’d love for you to put your thoughts into a review/comment on Amazon. Those always help. And do check out the solo RPG playlist for quite a lot of vids on all aspects of solo RPG.

Wow, what an impressive book. Thanks for making a video about it! I’ll be getting a copy ASAP. I noticed you’re linking to a book of your own, will you be making a video about it? I’m hoping you will, because it sounds really interesting.

Yes, I have just completed a gothic “Roll & Read” book which takes excerpts from classic gothic novels and randomizes them in a table for session use. I will be doing a vid on the book soon! And glad you liked this vid... this book is indeed a great resource.

@@GeekGamers01 Thanks! I went ahead and ordered it, even if shipping (to Sweden) was more than the book itself. I also got, and just finished reading, Into the Wyrd and Wild, and it really is great. And I can’t wait to try it in a solo game 👍😁

While this was a good book that was quite obviously heavily inspired by "Veins of the Earth" from design to content to layout to theme, it is a pity that the author does not acknowledge that at all.

I got the silver foil version with an additional adventure. It’s so beautiful. I’m planning on using Cairn with this book for a wilderness solo game.

I heard you released a book you yourself penned, congratulations! Also NGL i could see players torching the forests if the stuff from Wyrd and Wild terrifies them.
@GeekGamers012 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of a torching ... diabolical and clever. And yes I have released a Gothic Roll and Read literary random table book, available now: amzn.to/33T7yix

Hi! you could be interested in a game called "Folklore The Affliction", it's basically a solo table top rpg/board game, it has some good themes and concepts. Anyway, keep up the excellent content, thanks.
