It seems there is something broken between the Pi Node app and Docker that will not allow the program to properly check ports and allow the program to proceed past the port listener steps. I was able to get the node-port-test container working by running the command: docker run --name node-port-test --env PORTS="31400,31401,31402,31403,31404,31405,31406,31407,31408,31409" -p 31400-31409:31400-31409 ese7en/node-port-test which opened the ports correctly but the Pi Node app will still not allow the program to proceed forward. It looks like we are stuck until the Pi Network team fixes the application? If you have an updated video that you can share with what is going on, that would be amazing. Thanks!

Can you help me install my Node? I installed Docker and Pi Network app but when I click on the Node button it just takes me to a load screen that never actually loads. The screen loads before I install Docker, but once it is fully installed the Node screen won't load, so I am not able to connect my ports.

Yes - you probably need to ensure you have port forwarding configured to you local machine to ensure that ports (31400-31409) are getting to the right machine

Help! Upon restart, my laptop suddenly won't boot and is only stuck at black screen. Need help ASAP! 🙏 I'm actually serious about this! I followed everything in this guide only to end up causing me harm! edit: thankfully I looked up online to find a way to get back in, which is safe mode. I got it back safely. @@SanongPenmongkol mine is stuck. I installed Docker , enabled Hyper-V and updated WSL but the Pi Node is stuck at "Please wait... Loading may take up to one minute." I have closed and opened the Pi Node countless times but still same problem.

@@mattjoe19 1. Open ports in window firewall 2. If you run private IP, you need to forward traffic from outside (wan) to your private IP in router. If you use public IP then no need to do this 3. Do windows Update to latest 4.install powershell 5. Install wsl, wsl2. Reboot. 6. Set default wsl2 7. Install docker 8. Test ports Only work if you have dummy image running. It will run and stop in few minutes later. That is fine. 9. When turn on node it will kick off new image to run node. Here you will know it work or not. You need to keep it run long hours to update Blockchain before seeing bonus. Window page file X2 amount of ram

i got around this issue by port forwarding, then when I still had the issue, I turned off the app and edited the 'user-preferences.json' file and added "containerFlavor":"stellar" between dockerimage and portscheckpassed - which i also set to true. then after that i turned the pi network app back on and it skipped the port and docker screen and started the container. then when i tested whether the ports were open, this time it said they were. hope this helps

you dont need to install/run a port checker. All you need is port forwarding. As long as you did it right, the node will run.

To do port forwarding, you need to set it on your router. Also don't forget to allow the traffics on your firewall for the range of ports
