Was a random source last week, turned out to be true. At this point, we still need to see proof of further claims, but the allegations from last week, admitted by the scumbag himself. Even scummy liars will tell the truth if it suits them. It's right to have distrust of things, but given the events of the last week leading to this, at the minute, these sources have slightly more credibility than he does. The fact he said 'for rolling stone from me' if this is true, that leaves not just him, but the publication open to HUGE defamation suits. So, either they've seen the logs or they're taking one hell of a gamble, but given the specific wording of 'he knew and it wasn't a problem' after DDs confession tweet, it kinda fits. We'll never know unless the logs are shown, and at this point, the only way to get those logs would seem to be if DD disputes the claim and sues for defamation leading to the logs being pulled for further investigation/discovery for that hypothetical suit. But yeah, at this point, the allegations last week were true, DD, tried to get out ahead of them after first trying to brush them off, so for me personally, on this matter, these unnamed random ex twitch snitches, the things they're saying can neither just be dismissed, but, also must not be taken as the gospel truth until evidence is shown, but it's a 50/50 shot a being true for me. If he fights back, then that might sway me to believing they're embellishing the situation for their own gain, if he doesn't fight and stays silent, that silence could well be damnig him further. That's my take on it. But either way, there's shitty people on all sides. DD, twitch and the people who knew, but stayed silent. All need punishing legally.

Since Twitch, would stand to be in a WHOLE HEAP of trouble. Since lawyers would love to use the fact. At this point, the police need to get involved, get the records from Twitch (which I can almost guarantee they still have, companies like this have triple backups of everything that's written down) and see if charges need to be filed. If they don't, Doc needs to start passing out lawsuits and if they do, Twitch, Doc, Slasher, and a whole lot of other people need to head to court because they're all involved in the crime.

I'm 99% certain the police have already been involved and did an investigation, and found no legal wrongdoing. It was just never revealed publicly since because it would hurt his career, as we're seeing now. The only reason this was all brought up was because some former Twitch employee decided to go full weasel rat mode and use his knowledge to sell tickets to his shitty band. If there was a legal issue, Twitch could have avoided the payout, but they paid him, which means he was cleared in court. He should sue. This case could easily bankrupt Twitch permanently.

So yes they probably had an ex-cop look over the messages and give them advice if they should hand them over. The cop might have said no due to X. So Twitch was left having to pay Doc out his contract, as this would have allowed them to exercise a morality clause to not pay him. It also kind of gives outsiders a glimpse, that Twitch was probably told to shut down the Whisper program due to this fiasco. Done specifically to minimize liability exposure.

Why is it that people have all of a sudden taken all of these second-hand accounts as "facts" without having confirmed or provided evidence for what these people are saying? And why do people keep saying Doc admitted that he knew the individual was a minor in his tweet? I have read that tweet multiple times now, and nowhere in that tweet does he admit that he knew she was a minor. I've heard he's edited the tweet a few times, but the one I've seen has stayed the same, so I don't know if that's true or not. If he did explicitly acknowledge that he knew she was a minor (not what OTHER people have said or what OTHER people have read into his most recent tweet), then yeah he's cooked, but until it comes out and he definitively says that he knew she was a minor and continued messaging her, I'm holding my judgment, and I don't know why, everyone, including Jeremy, have jumped right out there and already condemned him.

So they illegaly breached his contract, and illegaly spied on his private messages, that would make Twitch look really bad, hence why they went with the settlement agreeing that no party would talk about it under NDA (which probably was fine for Doc as well considering that, as we can see, everything involving a minor can quickly become a dumpster fire on the Internet) and that they would have to pay the whole contract since they breached it. Twitch is much more in the wrong than Doc in this story, at least from the information we have access to. The worst being the Cody guy who started this dumpster fire with what could basically be qualified as lies, just to get some attention (like he did to sell his concert tickets). Twitch and Doc were fine not talking about it but this guy just had to jump in and make it bad for everyone involved. He really deserves to be sued to oblivion for defamation on this one.

I have been wondering. Well first off let me say that Doc messaging a minor is fucked no doubt about that, but this is something that I find strange. So anyone who has watched Doc since the ban knows Doc has no problem talking shit about “The purple snakes” i.e Twitch. I think what most aren't understanding is that the legal age of consent varies per state in the US. Looking it up, more than half the states have a legal age of consent of either 16 or 17. Most of those are 16. So if the person he was talking to was in one of those states (likely) and was 16 or 17 then nothing illegal happened. Which goes along with what DrD said. So if nothing illegal happened then there is nothing for Twitch to report to authorities. And then if they settled DrD's contract which included a nondisclosure, there is nothing any of them could have said about it. It's still creepy that he did it, but not illegal.

I find it funny how these streamers will condemn the dude (not advocating for him at all) and then yet still be okay with being paid by the company that let this happen. Twitch knew instances like this happened all the time. They dropped Doc because of inappropriate/sexual behavior online with a minor. But this shit happens all the time and nothing is done about it. In one of his videos moist critical talks about how Twitch didn’t release the info to protect the minor. They don’t give a fuck about the minor. What they care about is their public image and their product. They didn’t want this to see the light of day and who would? But I see streamers who stream on twitch condemning Doc (which I see as virtue signaling because they’re still being paid by twitch) yet meat riding twitch because ‘they wanted to protect the minor, that’s why they didn’t release it to the public’. It’s easy to cover up some rando talking to minors which I’m sure happens all the time. But when a major face (at the time) of your company is doing it’s harder to keep it contained because he’s so recognizable. Twitch did what twitch did to protect twitch. Simple as that. There is no silver lining here. The company covered it up for years. And an ex employee was the one to expose it. As messed up as it may be the only way to get to the truth of all this is by having doc show screenshots or twitch showing evidence, not sure if thats possible for doc since theres probably a full confidentiality deal from what i gathered and twich's dude literally switched up the answer basically saying "we cannot talk about this" because im assuming both parties are trying to not break agreement. I feel like Jeremy is right. If the doc was sexting a minor, he could have been fired no questions asked. Plus charged. If they had receipts, they would release them. No amount of litigation would stop them, or harm them after the fact. I'm not a doc supporter or anything like that, it just seems really suspect about this whole story.

The word' "minor" is misleading. A lot of people imagine some innocent 10 year old girl when people use that term. It's more likely it's referring to a sexually mature 17 year old who would be considered an adult in most of the world.
