Seriously though, I honestly feel like Goku does a much greater job at contrasting Batman, highlighting his worries and fears, while having a more genuine conflict in terms of ideals than with the Man of Steel. Cause with Superman... Sure, there is a bit tonal shift, with Superman often focusing on the fantastical and idealistic side of Super Heroes, while Batman is more grounded, gritty and on the cynical side of things..... But generally, Superman and Batman share the same opinions about moral reponsibility and power. There is very little reason for them to have a conflict with each other, besides Batman's paranoia and Superman's occasional "Holier than thou" attitude. But with Goku? He is like the direct polar opposite of Batman. Not only is there this surface deep contrast of Batman being Dark and Gritty whilst Goku is Up beat and Fantastical.... But they also have a very different idea about being a hero. Goku being a hero for fun, helping people out not because it is expected but because he just felt like doing it. Whilst Batman on the otherhand treats it as a moral obligation, not as something that one does cause one wants to, but because it is a matter of principle that one *must* follow. Then there is the opinion of strength, where Goku finds fulfillment in getting power for the power's sake, while also seeking challenges for the thrill of it. Seeking self improvement, because the path to it, the journey of getting stronger, is something Goku gives value to in of itself. While Batman on the other hand, he only sees power as means to an end. Only going through all kinds of challenges and hardships solely because it is necessary to realize his goals. Because without power you cant affect anything. But power in of itself has little value to him. And then of course, there is the issue of trust. Where Batman is often times skeptical of everyone, including his own allies as well as himself. Seeing the worst things of all beings, because even heroes can become villains if they live long enough. While Goku in contrast, he rarely judge people at all. Not only is he like Superman who mostly hopes the best out of people, but Goku would go out with his friendly and innocent nature to befriend even the likes of Lobo and Lady Shiva, whom people like Batman and Superman would never to stop to think of as anything less than dangerous mavericks, even when they dont consider them "evil" persey. Goku and Bats got different views in morality as a whole, and I think that this What If has made a great job in contrasting and highlighting them. I thank you for this amazing experience, and cant wait to see the rest!

So here's the rundown on what happened to the surviving Saiyans. Tarble was banished by his father, King Vegeta, to Rann for being too weak. And remained there until killed by Rogol Zaar. It likely that he won't return. Raditz was taken along with Nappa and Vegeta to Apokolips and was tortured by Granny Goodness. He died on Earth after using his version of a final explosion to kill Kakarot. It's ambiguous that will return to the story. Nappa was taken to Apokolips along with Vegeta and Raditz, where he acted as a gladiator for Darkseid's amusement. He was also killed on Earth but this time by Vegeta becomes he viewed Nappa as 'weak' in his eyes. It is also ambiguous if he will return. Vegeta was taken to Apokolips along with Nappa and Raditz, where he trained day in and day out trying to get strong enough to kill Darkseid. Once Vegeta grasped the true nature that is Darkseid, Vegeta became Darkseid's Knight. Vegeta is still alive but was imprisoned on Earth. It is very likely we'll seem him again, as Kakarot's bitter rival as things should. Broly was banished to Warworld by King Vegeta, for being to powerful. Broly would become slave and a gladiator for Mongol. He would help the Justice League for a short while and was offered to come with them. But decided to say on Warworld with his father. He is still alive and is also very likely he'll return. Likely as an antagonist for a possible Mongol Saga. Paragus went to Warworld after his son Broly, before swearing vengeance upon the Royal family. Unlike Broly, Paragus lived a life of luxury and rose up the ranks becoming Mongol second. He was defeated by a member of the Justice League and is still alive. He is likely to return as a secondary antagonist to a possible future Mongol Saga. The status on Turles is currently unknown. It is unclear if he exists in this universe. But if does he might appear as his own saga. Being a psuedo replacement of Frieza.

SuperMichael 98 Well, Piccolo and King Kai have already made Goku face the consequences of their actions in Cell Saga. Piccolo when Goku leaves Gohan to fight against Cell, and he doesn't want to fight. Piccolo tells this to Goku with angry, who was shocked by this and decided to help Gohan. The King Kai when he tells Goku that he only attracts trouble, resulting in Goku deciding to stay dead so that the earth is no longer in danger, only coming back to life after a danger to the entire universe, who wasnt related to him, arived. After this, Goku didn't actually made something so bad or irresponsible. Considering that if wasn't the Tournament of Power, Zeno would destroy all these universes of one way or another, but without a chance to restore all them. Goku gived a chance to the multiverse stay alive with the Super Dragon Balls and a chance to each universe fight for their own survival, and that is a good thing.

Where do I even begin with this one?! Each half of this what if could've been it's own thing, the first half of this touched my heart, the unexpected friendship with the three of them was well done, and Broly's understanding of the kind of rage Mera was in was a great touch, and the end leaves me hopeful for what comes next for this gentle tragic boi. Now the second half, made too much sense, Bruce is seriously out of his element, he's traveling across space trying to tame basically celestial gods in order to reverse death on a massive scale, leaving the earth with most of it's big defenders gone. With his son's death weighing on his shoulder constantly, because of Saiyans Goku couldn't stop. His anger at him is unfair, but it makes perfect sense, he's grieving, and despite all the things people make him out to be, Batman is still a human being, and in this situation, he's just a man in a batsuit, and is frustrated, furious, grieving, and most of all with everything going on, fearful, even if he hides it, as there is the possibility that he'll lose whatever he has left. And of course in Goku fashion, punch it out of him. 😂 Jokes aside, the dragon fist was well executed, and Kyle, this boi needs a morale boost that Goku is naturally giving him, and finally, Rogol Zaar rearing his ugly head at our heroes, things are about to heat up! So far or rather from the start I've been loving what you've been doing for the characters, as each one contributes and helps make a good story.

That means a lot! One of the things we wanted to make sure of was that the DC characters wouldn't get overshadowed in setvice of the DB ones. We love DBZ but it was always irksome that other characters rarely got the chance to shine. It's good to hear that we're delivering on that :)

@@Sydpart2 That's the mistake that I feel many have fallen for, but what you're doing is bringing out the best in BOTH of them, having the DC side shine just as bright as the DB side, allowed them to become more, to become DBDC, it somehow feels separate from both, yet also deeply rooted in their origins, I will be the first to admit, I would prefer Dragon Ball over DC even though I like them both, and grew with the Justice League show, but this What If has allowed me to appreciate the DC side even more, and that's the part that I love about this What If, it gave much more explanations about the DC universe that would normally be intimidating to try and look up due to the sheer mass of info, retcons, reboots, etc with the typical status quo cycle over, and over, this is well delivered, and greatly appreciated, and I look forward to what else lays ahead.

I like the story. I like how you guys made Goku to be blamed of and him simply accepting it and making up for his mistakes then fighting the one who blamed him for it while bearing that guilt. You can kinda see Goku's character a little bit by just those single lines and how he handles those problems. It kinda feels nostalgic but in different circumstances I guess. And poor Broly. I kinda expected him to fight after the last episode. I hope we could still see some more Broly after the sad state that he was in before Mira and Flash left... but overall, this was a great episode.

I think it's a really fascinating turn for Goku to meet someone like Batman, who can see that people can be better if they strive for it and that Goku has not attempted to bring any change yet. Only striving for his own goals. You've really put a lot of forward thought into this! This is really becoming my favorite series on KZbin! Also, here's hoping Broly does indeed return in the future! I really see him as an anti-hero in all regards. The kind to sometimes join the Justice League and sometimes just try and kill people. An almost Lobo like approach. Your voice actor for Goku is incredible! You can hear the Sean Schemmel in him and it's Fantastic! Broly voice also works great, but I wish he had done some more in terms of fighting, maybe even let loose his wild instincts, unless you plan to do that later on. The dragon fist is always epic and one can go dizzy over all the potential variations and upgrades it can get. For starters combining different techniques with the dragon fist like the spirit bomb or ball and the chaos cannon. Maybe even combine it with the power pole and the Nimbus? Maybe have one for each triagram. But Goku is modern day monkey king so we can't forget the oozaru power and all the techniques that comes from that.

Another awesome part to the Dragon Ball DC saga and great video overall. I fully enjoy these videos, especially with all the writing skill that happens in the story. I do have a few questions regarding the world, but let me start with the praise. You really got me to feel about Broly (I still have to watch the Broly movie), and I hope he does end up having a form of happiness later on. I loved the twist of Mera getting the Butcher over Broly. Batman's words towards Kakarott Kent were harsh, and I believe some of it was due of Paralax's influences, but I also feel that it's been weighing on Bruce's mind for a while, especially with the death of Dick Grayson. It is pretty good drama, and his speech towards Clark was both savage and heartbreaking. He probably had a bunch of sleepless nights/days thinking about all this stuff, and never really talking to anybody about it. As someone who has depression and fully understand what that can do to a person, it is something that I relate to. Of course, the fight between Kakarott and a possessed Batman is a pretty awesome narrative based fight scene, and I could visualized it in my head (animated style, of course). The fact that Kakarott used the Dragon Fist made me squeal with joy. The ending also serves as a good cliffhanger. Well, this comment is getting long, so I keep my questions brief. 1) So, how does Kakarott's name work now? Does he still go by Clark Kakarott Kent, or Kakarott Clark Kent? Did he have a Earth based middle name, like how Superman's is Joseph 2) Is Damian Wayne a thing in this universe? Or is the Robin in this universe still Tim Drake? 3) Would it be ok if I write a fan fiction story based on this universe? I might hook up with Sydpart2 on DeviantArt and talk about some ideas, but I'm just check out if it be ok?

Yes! Another great episode! Excited to see this and more of the Norse Gods in Dragon Ball too! Spoilers below- Great subversion of expectations making Mera the Red Lantern instead of Broly. Honestly if Broyl were a Red Lantern he'd be impossible to beat. And I loved that moment of the Dragon Fist colliding with Paralax's bat construct. Really clever idea of using the Hirudegarn clip to represent their collision. I'm interested to see what'll happen with Rogol Zaar and Kakarot but at the same time I think Vegeta deserves to kill him more. Maybe him invading Earth could be the catalyst to having Kakarot and Vegeta team up? (Hope I didn't spoil your series before it's written ;)

@@SonGoku-777 Goku allowed Freeza to live, allowed his only son Gohan to fight when he never really knew his son or spent time with him, selfishly stayed away from his family believing that he was right, not finishing Freeza off the second time, allowing potential threats to get stronger, and causing TOP. Goku may have been called out about the TOP but he never faced the consequences of it. He treated it like another day.

@@SonGoku-777 He took TOP seriously? He took it seriously everytime a universe was wiped out. Gohan is nothing like his father and i never said anything about Goku facing Cell. Goku told Gohan to face Cell without knowing a thing about Gohan. All Goku saw was Gohan's potential as a warrior and nothing more or less. That is what happened in the Time Chamber, and during the Yardrat part having Instant Transmission is useful but guess who was also able to use it. Cell, and he got it right after he killed Goku. Goku may have not been the reason for universal erasure but he was the reason why many universes viewed his own as the corrupted universe. Zeno was right in destroying the lower universes because known of their GOD were doing their job. The worse part was they knew that.

I really like “new” Broly he is just a big kid that just wants friends and to not be used as a tool for bad people 😢 Btw that comic scan of Batman beating Deathstroke and Deadshot at the same time got me TRIGGERED lol jk but NO WAY Batman can take on DS that easy by himself (DS is at times too much for batman to handle since he’s a lot stronger) let alone deadshot at the same time lol

Also, that fight came at the end of weeks of battles and assassination attempts. I didn't like the look of it either, but I just put it off as all of them being pretty warn out and Bats using his pent up anger to finally end the conflict.

Another great episode. Really appreciated the tense events here, with the narration being excellent, even more so than usual. The Dragon Fist fanservice was fun...enjoyed seeing SDS GT Goku for a moment there before it switched to edited Dokkan art. Of the characters in the episodes released so far, who's your favorite? Also, what is the song used in your intro (the one that utilizes Navi's "Hey" audio)? I feel it has to do with the environment, and his allies, now a days it's the Goku and sometimes Vegeta show guest starring Beerus and Whis, Babysitter Piccolo, with everyone else being placed as background characters, in this what if, Goku has way more friends, and even named villains, and all of them holds weight to the story, and Goku in this what if even got called out for some of his flaws, even if they're not the whole truth, it depicts him just living his life, trying to get by, but also trying to make things right. In other words, while I love Dragon Ball and all it's iterations, DC's Goku by Geeks for Fun is a better written, and grounded character on this universe.
