Sonos One with Alexa Full Setup

I was one click away from buying the Amazon Echo the other day. I have a Sonos system at home already, but didn't realise the existence of the Sonos One. After watching your video I'm definitely buying the Sonos One. Your video was so clear and concise. Also, having owned Sonos products for a number of years, the thing that swung it for me was your opinion on the sound quality. Amazon versus Sonos no comparison. Apparently now all new Sonos Ones have the Alexa app built in. Thanks for your brilliant video.

I’ve had 2 Sonos play 1’s for years. Using the Sonos app I used Pandora or I have about 160g of music on a server that I would pull from. Is there a way to use elexa to pull the music from my music server?

I have 3 Echo premium 4th gen speakers in a multi room setup, I was thinking of adding a couple of Echo Studio speakers as a stereo pair in my lounge but people say the Sonos sound is better. Do you agree, should I go for a pair of Sonos Ones instead? (its mostly for music rather than home theatre). Will they integrate fully with Alexa so I can run routines and control my smart home through Sonos? Any advice is appreciated.

No, in order to use the Sonos Ones for surround you have to use the Sonos Playbar for the soundbar.

I have just bought one today, I plugged it in and downloaded the Sonos app when I open the Sonos app it doesn't give me the option to set up a new Sonos, just the option to connect to an existing system...Any idea's as to why this is happening.

That usually happens if it’s been previously setup with a different system. You should reset the speaker to factory and then it will allow to setup new Sonia system. Docs have instructions on reset. Usually hold down button while plugging in for 5 seconds

Sonos Play One would be some setup, just no Alexa integration. You can control the Play speakers from another Amazon enabled device. The Watch bad is no longer sold that I am aware of, just a cheap Amazon band (one orange and the other blue).

If I made the mistake of signing in with the wrong amazon account, how do I start over in the Sonos App. How do I reset Sonos and start over in the app. Simply restating. The Sonos device did not work. The app looks for the original device.

You can control any Sonos speaker from any Alexa product

You can't play a Sonos Speaker and a Amazon Speaker at the same time, but you can control it with the Echo Dot. Both are different ecosystems, so even if you could get them to play at the same time, they would be off and it would sound terrible.

I would say that they operate the same way that Amazons echos do, and if you ask a question any speaker that hears you would respond

i had to exchange it. Works now except when I tell it to play music, it only plays one song. Also when i say pause music, it says it can only that ehen music is playing when it's obviously playing.

Sonos One works with most music subscriptions out there, including Apple Music. However, the Alexa assistant cannot control Apple Music, so you have to use the App
