What's the point of an inline switch which doesn't have a physical button? You might as well have a plugin in smart switch.

Hi, I currently have LEDs in my kitchen kick boards triggered by a PIR ( also in the boards”. If there any smart solution which would allow the PIR to operate but give voice command fir at least on?

I'm going to give you a link to a video i've made which is not yet published on KZbin so this is a unlisted video no one can get to it without the link...so feel privileged I'm giving you an early preview. It's a deep dive on the Smart Life app, I cover a hell of a lot in this video. Check it out...I know it may be a little long but it may give you a lot of ideas on what possible with different products. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIe1e4yQjJKqoc0 Let me know is that helps. You can comment in the video and I can still see the comment and respond.

Yeh that’s defiantly for us Geeks! The one thing I did notice was your control over your living room spots. Are each of those smart lamps? My understanding is currently you can not get a disable smart light switch. Anyway once again many thanks for you hard work, it is appreciated and making my like a lot more tech
@GeekStreet4 жыл бұрын
@@garrycraig2095 yes those spot lights are each smart and I have to say they are awesome but a bit pricey. You can't disable switches but you can disable automation so under the condition if an event happens disable the automation. That may help you in someway maybe?!

Hi. Excellent video and used it to set up initially. I changed router so lost connection. Tried to change router details on app but couldn’t so deleted and set up a new account. Tried to reconnect again but no joy. Any ideas please ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I think if try turning it off and on about 5/10 times it may reset it.

Can you still use the switch manually and turn it on and off? Let's you use the mobile to turn it on, can I turn it off physically?
@GeekStreet6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I'm impressed you've found this video as I've not officially released it yet! No the switch has no physical button so you could so you can only control manually by the power switch. So one use case situation would be a lighting circuit where it's too much hassle replacing the wiring for a light switch.
@aymansyed13516 жыл бұрын
@@GeekStreet you've got some great vids on products that I've seen in the Wish app. So your reviews are helping. For clarity. My mum isn't into smart Tec but I am and want to be able to control the lights while away. So if my mum switches the light off from the switch but not the mains can I still control them via the mobile or does the light switch need to be on? Meaning we then can't both control the light physically or remotely. It's one or the other?
@GeekStreet6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Ayman much appreciated. For your mum's situation either get a WiFi light switch fitted, that's the best solution as it's normal operation for her turning the light on and off. As then you have the option to control. This product may be a hassle if she turns off the light. Perhaps a lamp may be a better option and she can turn on via a button on a smart plug? Or a smart bulb but you got to remember to leave in the on position.

You shouldn't need an earth connection but silly that one isn't provided.

Very helpful video but poor wiring practice. Clamps should be on outer cable cover, not inner cores.
