Thank you for making this video. I am currently in PA school and we were taught the OLD CARTS method, which always trips me up. The SOCRATES mnemonic makes much more sense to me, especially since it incorporates associated symptoms. Worked through the examples you gave, and I feel like this works much more smoothly than OLD CARTS. Hoping this will help on my first OSCE this week. Thanks again!!

The establishment of character in fever in important, unlike what is mentioned in the video E.g, the fever of malaria can have a quatran cycle (occuring every 4th day), tertian cycle (occuring every 3rd day) or irregular cycle, and that helps in narrowing down the cause and sequent management & treatment plan, etc

Hii yes, it can be applied to anycase you just need to adjust it, for example a patients comes complaining about headache when you investigate further, like family history. You find out they have stress or depression, you adjust the Socrates to a scenario you have..
