Had the frame rates been the same the quality would match almost perfectly!

This is a good thing for that type of work as long as you don't need to feed it multiple HDMI cameras. As a dedicated streaming device it's great.

Not being able to just copy directly from the SD card on another computer is bit of a minus

I thought that as well but being a network device it’s pretty easy to download your files. It will also package them into a zip folder if you’re downloading multiples.
