In 2016 I purchased Chennai first 4k hdr 10 plus tv and also purchased Sony home theater without blu-ray becuase I know Blu ray would not last long and ott is future. Home theater 5.1 came with 1000w rms and dolby sound. No atmos in those days. Even after 8 years sound is crystal clear with no issues. Got home theater for 26k which was high in those days. I also tried pioneer and onkyo but they costed around 40k for cheapest model.

You should've chosen Lg sp8A instead of ht s40 R at around this price bracket. I heard at the reliance digital lg sp8A competes with 50k soundbars

Buy a 2 year old model like latest is samsung q990d so go for B or c, it will be much cheaper and those were the top model 2 years ago and it sounds very good.

Everyone should have a subwoofer at home. Even if you can't afford good sound system - buy a cheap soundbar with subwoofer that comes at like 5000-7000 rupees and connect it to your TV.

Am not able to decide between samsung q990d which comes with woofer and rear speakers for 85k and jbl1300 for around 1.3 lakhs where the rear speakers can be used individually as BT speaker. Your thoughts ??

I was actually confused bw this bravia bar 8 and the Samsung q990D, but ended up getting the Samsung. I felt q990D was a complete package for around 80k, whereas with the Sony I was only getting the bar at that price. But tbh I listened to them side by side in a store and felt that Samsung had better atmos and overall bass.
