Given the Sorcerers of Tund were skilled in illusion, I think it's possible that many used their abilities to appear to die, using mystic copies to take their fall(for comparison similar to how Loki used his magic in the MCU). Others could have turned invisible by shaping light around them. In these ways, I think at least a small enclave could have survived Palatine's ravaging of Tund. They would likely be isolationists now, so we would rarely see them. And if we did, we likely wouldn't ever know it, due to the abilities we know they posses. However, we don't know what happened to the Sith artifacts Palpatine stole from the Tund after his fall, so perhaps in disguise, some Sorcerers went and recovered them and brought them back to Tund after his downfall. The Imperial Remnants might have kept some around, not knowing they were anything else than objects prized by their former Emperor. But to the Tund they were much more, sacred artifacts to their people. Then they mysteriously started disappearing.. they did not know this was by the hand of the Sorcerers. And so they came home to Tund. Just a theory.

I think this is what supposed to be adapted in Canon when it comes to the Sequel trilogy. The Imperial remnant came across Tund and the Sorcerers of Tund became the new ruling elites of their own Sith Empire. After this, the trilogy can be about the Jedi and some people in the galaxy are questioning that maintaining peace and the status quo with the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic is worth it or not. Also, thank you to the team of Geetsly's for doing a video about the Sorcerers of Tund! They definitely did not deserve such a tragic end like that!

Glad to hear it- I was always a bit sad that the Sith species ended up extinct with the mostly human Dark Jedi just going on to build empire after empire basically just using the Sith branding instead of being DJs, and ever less Sith blood in them despite the original mixing. Almost as bad as how the Mandalorian culture is a bunch of multispecies but heavily humanized historical re-enactors imitating the culture of the Taung.

Hey Geetsly, much love for you and your content. I’ve got a video idea one that might be said a lot probably but not too its full extent I believe, and that’s the scale of which the clone wars battles were. There’s one in particular, which is the battle of Malastare. We all know the episode pretty well because of the whole Zillo beast incident, but the battle itself was an incredibly large scale battle. If we truly look at it, I mean, the CIS had a huge army that they deployed on the capital itself, and the republic wanting to help keep it out of the CIS hands had a decently large forced themselves too, and they even had fighter squadrons that were helping out air, surface, and probably space. And a good question is why did they use that battle pacifically to use a new type of weapon? Why didn’t they put more forces or resources if they are able to use that weapon at the time. Yes the the republic army was stretched out but why use an important battle and use a prototype weapon? Just a fun little idea for a video if you wish.

Can you do a video commenting your opnion about how Dave Filoni developed the Jedi in clone wars as an institution that made big mistakes and if that deviated from what George Lucas developed the jedi to symbolically represent in history? Do you think this "subversion" ended up working and giving the story the depth it needed? Do you think that George Lucas already raised this question, but didn't develop it in the story of the Prequels because that wasn't the focus of the plot?
@michaelandreipalon3592 жыл бұрын
(Guess I'll have to give my personal opinion on this.) Said mistakes were already established with stories like the Republic comics; I don't think so, I think the flawed perspective of the Old Jedi Order was planned from the beginning. Apart from TCW 2008's many inconsistencies with Legends, I think yes. Guess so.

The Sorcerers weren't Sith, not anymore and not for a long time. For one thing, they were the ine thing that no real Sith would ever allow himself to be: _weak._ They allowed themselves to wither on the vine for millennia, slowly decaying from their state of power and glory without anything truly rising to bring them out of ignominy. Eventually, instead of being the masters of their fates like a Sith ought, or placing themselves beneath a master to eventually overthrow as a Sith does, they instead became nothing more than raw resources to be exploited. Worse, even, because there was nothing to gain by exploiting them; they were pathetic things that happened to have once been connected to something of value, like the grapevine come winter.

"They were wrong, of course." OK... maybe, but doesn't the idea of "the unity" existing, but being misunderstood by acutely-force-sensitives, seem a lot less contrived than the light/dark side concept, which suffers from both overcomplication and extremely poor naming? This is a really dismissive way to treat a concept that, on its face, comes across as a lot more nuanced and interesting than much of what goes on in Star Wars. The lore here is great, and I'm glad the video is up, but it seems to me some of the truths you're clinging to depend on a rather myopic point of view.
