Sometimes quiet and relaxing is all we need. Very clean and tidy park. Looks like end of season is near. Great video. Hope your generator gets figured out. Say hi to the Geezer Gang for us.

This is really a nice park. You're right about the end of season. The falling leaves looked like a snow fall. It was a great time to be there. Thanks for watching!

Nice quiet campground is better than those noisy loud music campgrounds with animals pooping on your lot and neighbours not picking after their dogs or their children! Lol. 😄 Love this kind of campground. 🤗 For younger campers, it would make a nice daily walk to the lakes. Thanks John!

Hi Diana! This campground would definitely appeal to most folks my age. But I still would rather have a little activity. Thanks for watching. :)

At least you are getting closer to getting the generator fixed.. Keeping my fingers crossed.. Always enjoy your videos.. Looks like a great campground. I hate it when the lake is to far to walk for us senior citizens.. :)

I think we have the generator figured out. I have parts ordered to finish up the job. It really is a nice park. I just wish they had put (at least) one of the campgrounds in position to see the lake. Happy Trails!

John, Thanks for the video of the camping expedition with you and Molly! Sounds like Earl has made this generator issue a personal challenge, and that's a good thing! I hope it all works out. I have been thinking about getting one of those tabletop grills....now I know that I can exclude the model that you bought! Happy Trails and we will catch up with you one day!
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve! Good to hear from you again. Earl is like a puppy with a porkchop once he gets involved in something. LOL I definitely would NOT recommend this grill and I wish I had never mentioned it in the video. I returned the unit and found out that there had been so many returns that Walmart closed them out and will not be ordering any more of them. Hopefully, our paths will cross ... Safe Travels my friend.

Just beautiful thanks so much for ride of beauty,,I bought a cheap charcoal grill and have not had patience to put it together,,,much love...Sarah Generator good vibes...you will get there...
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah! This is really a very pretty park. I think it's about 650 acres in total area with 4 lakes and 2 campgrounds. The little grill I bought was really a disappointment. Classy has really small compartments and this grill was the only one I could find that would fit in them. Oh well, I'm sure I can find another one. Thanks for stopping by and for the good vibes!
@sarahj.59707 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your 2 kind replys...my cheap one is charcoal..had to give up my Weber on last move. Be well..and you will get a good one and also find a fixed generator somehow soon...lol..I feel it...so glad you started making little weekends,,,that is what it is about!!

Hott Dog great video !!! I'm glad you have the generator figured out, the parts for Onan is pretty pricey sometimes I hope you can find what you need at a good price. Earl is a good guy to come help you with the repair I'm glad you have someone to help you.

Hi Howard! :) I'm glad you liked this little vid. I've ordered a rebuild kit that should put an end to the generator problem. Earl has always been helpful any time he can. At this point, he has taken this project as a personal challenge. LOL

When I was at that last lake you used to fish there wasn't any camping yet .I think it was 1972/73.Very good Video again.Your problems with the generator is why I have that "BRUT" from Menards. Was thinking may-be some parts on mine would work on yours? It's extra lbs to me as it sits
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark! I think the last time my son and I were there was the early 80's. I do kind of remember a campground on the way in. But at that time we weren't camping and I just don't know for sure. I have a kit ordered that should put an end to the generator problem. I think on board gennys is becoming a think of the past. Onan at least seems to be fading into history. I have no idea how I could carry an external unit for Classy as a regular accessory. I wonder if Class C's will also fall out of favor if on boards are no longer an option. Thank you for your interest and support. I appreciate ya'

Hey Geez, don't get disheartened, O-Rings can be found in hydraulic shops or motorcycle shops. They come in SAE or Metric and in different thickness. Be sure to take the old one with you or the float bowl so they can put the calipers to it. I'm pretty sure the brass fittings that hold the float bowl on should be available at an Auto Parts store. I have access to used carburetors of all kinds , but not by part numbers ( scrap yard ) so I will keep an eye open. Maybe you could post a picture of parts needed so I know what to look for. I also have a little bar-b-que and I love it , it's about 10 years old now and the only problem I've had is that it gets to hot to quick. I've found that running it as low as it goes works perfect for most everything. Til next Time " HAVE FUN ".
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mr C. Since I published this video, I have found a little rebuild kit that has the broken part AND the O ring. I have it ordered and it should be here in less than a week. Fingers crossed that everything fits and puts an end to the generator saga. LOL I've tried to find a replacement regulator for that grill to no avail. So I guess I'll return it and look for something else. Thanks for stopping by my friend. 👍

Once I saw how they had planned out the assembly for the grill, it wasn't too bad to put together. It, however, was frustrating enough that it was a bit irritating when it didn't work. :) Thanks for watching ... I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Marie! I will check out the RV Geeks and see what I can find. Thank you for the tip. This was a very pretty park. It's just a bit of a shame that they didn't capitalize on the water features by putting the campgrounds on the shore somewhere. I suppose there is (was) a reason.

Hi! Oh man that little bugger torqued me off until I figured out how it was designed to be assembled. After that it wasn't so bad. Thanks for watching!
@aljr3577 жыл бұрын
Lol some assembly required. I don't know if I'd trust myself building a grill that uses propane because I was a propane technician when I was younger and I know the dangers of propane if there is a leak in the system.
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
That grill was a real bear to assemble. And then for it not to work was quite a gut drop. There really isn't much to the burner. It's basically a propane torch with a defuser at the end. I'm guessing the regulator is the problem. I hope I can just get the part and move on. It's really a neat little cooker.

It is great to see you back on the road, but how come Lucy and Midge were not with you and Molly? I like your videos with the whole gang! Great looking park and lakes. Glad that you had a relaxing time. Hope that you are on the road again. Stay safe and happy trails. Love ya Joyce PS Did you ever get the stove working?
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Joyce! Lucy likes traveling, but isn't so much interested in camping. And Midge is all "momma's dog". She will not leave momma's side. So until we depart on a road trip, they will probably be no shows most of the time. No, I didn't get the little grill to work. Worse yet, I can't find the receipt so I can return it without a hassle. sigh. Thanks for watching!
@aljr3577 жыл бұрын
I sure hope you can find a used carb for you generator so you don't have to spend so much on a silly little part.
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
Hi Allan. We're looking for a junk rv with the same generator. If we can find one, I'll probably grab all the parts I can get. We have found a new repair kit that contains the part we need. Here's the kicker. The part, by itsself, is over $80. But the kit, that contains the same part as well as a few other parts including that O ring gasket, is only $44. Including shipping! Go figure. 😒

That darn generator is sure giving you guys a run for the money. You guys have more patience than me. I would have broken toes from kicking it, lol. I lol when you said you would try to put your little grill together and then look at the directions if you HAD to. I agree about how bad directions are for putting stuff together. 1/2 the time it makes no sense.
@GeezerAtTheWheelGang7 жыл бұрын
The generator really isn't as bad a deal as it seems. We're just old and not in much of a hurry, so it seems like it's gone on forever when, in fact, we only have a handful of hours in it. I should have shown the grill assembly directions. All it amounted to was a drawn picture of the parts with arrows indicating where they should go! LOL

(history) that 1st name was "west lake county park" was in man -made lakes railroad lake, lambach lake, big grass, lake of the hills, railroad is name cause it's a (BCR&N) railroad line that run thru 1876 to 1903 . if your mind is sharp you can read the landscape of a google map the past show ground sign of former railroad lines "Nature Doesn't Make Straight Lines" as 280 bypass was in the plan too as US 6 met up off ramp with north 1970 photo That rv was once a trailer part aka mobile home park..go seek past www.historicaerials.com/
