So she knew she'd marry him but then didn't want to marry him , then left her job at TGI (I wonder why?) And "took over" in her own words ....... hmmm happy or not I think she sounds like a gold digger and once having kids with him probably realized the good life was going to keep rolling in . Their body language was a bit awkward in my opinion . Lou has always been partially deaf and from a controlling family , he suffered with confidence so was likely he settled for her.

onebigkahuna69 He is a great guy. I wrote to Muscle Mag as a young teen and I was very sick and couldn't workout/bodybuild and missed a few competitions. I mentioned Lou Ferrigno was my favorite bodybuilder and the editor's mentioned it to Lou and one day there was a knock at the door.I opened the door and was in shock to see Lou and his father. He and his father were great to me and they kept in contact until I was well. I have never forgotten them and what they did for me.

Years ago no internet or FACEBOOK. You had to put your self out and if you met someone you would have to go out again and find your new soon to be partner at the same place and same time, after that you would try and get her - his phone number and go out on dates and find out by talking and having fun if you were comparable. Dates night clubs, cinema, meals out, and then the weekends away. If the Internet was taken off line how would people cope ?? Finding out about your partner gives you plenty to say that you have done together. No clicking on a computer mouse or tablet and finding out about a person the like and dislikes.

Sorry but I couldn't help but notice that Lou was a little put off my her chatting. She kept saying how she turned him down so many times. She was playing the Man Trap, Playing so hard to get .She in the beginning made a statement that she didn't like Big Men ,Italian Men and Scorpio's .I could see he was uncomfortable and made the neck cut sign. Lou I should have saved you from the Female back in 1978 when I met you a Ponchos in Manhattan Beach California. So what I realized is you have to go with women's actions and body language and not what they say. Her face, when she said "how big are you" says it all. She was into him, but because he was being a snarky dick she played hard to get. If she didn't like the guy she would have never called him, or constantly mention that she acknowleged his presence. Also how would she know he's a Scorpio? It's playful banter and nothing more. I see men and women doing this all the time with each other, it's just tease.

I was on vacation in January 1981 and went to TGIF in Marina Del Rey. I was 19 ( legal age in Ontario Canada but not legal in California) and my friend was 21. I don't remember being asked for I.D as I went to TGIF at least twice. During the same trip I saw Lou train at World Gym in Santa Monica.

This is the main difference between Arnold and Big Lou...both are successful in bodybuilding and both are winning and racking up titles and making history, and while Arnold was winning multiple titles of Mr. Olympia and Lou was only a runner-up, in terms of relationship and marriage Lou ended up the clear winner since he remains faithful to his wife and they are still together even after their kids have grown up...!!!

Will Scarlett Hey Will. Not sure if there is a pic of Big Lou’s first wife anywhere. She was kind of a mousy chick. This might have been during the first season of the Hulk. I lifted seriously then (still do) and I remember Muscle Builder magazine quipping “now we are green with envy” remarking on Lou’s first marriage. Lou was 3000 miles from home and is a self described conservative. Also many Italians are traditional and family oriented. So it may have been an easy, familiar pattern for Lou to fall into. In any case apparently it did not work out. If I find a pic of his first I will let you know.

Unfortunately he believed her side and found out it was untrue after the marriage. Pitfalls of being a nice guy.
