Could you give Us a Shiur Explaining If is True that if we Just Learn Talmud is not necessary Written Torah as some Rabbi says.
@zipeee16 жыл бұрын
Ashkenazim who follow the Rama which is based on the psak of Rabbeinu Tam quote Tosfot who also quotes Rabbenu Tam who says that we rely on only learning Talmud Bavli which itself is a combination of Mikrah, Mishna, and Gemara "however, certainly one must still know Mikrah and Mishna." Sephardim follow the shulchan aruch YD 246:4 which rules like the Rambam's mishnah torah who says in hilichot talmud torah to split torah learning into 3 even parts of mikra/mishna/and gemara. Meaning Ashkenazim who rely on their poskim would say one should spend more time learning gemara and less on mikra/mishna than Sephardi poskim. However, for Ashenazim who don't learn all day -- ("The Shach, Taz, and Drisha write that a Baal Habayit (a worker as as opposed to a Yeshiva/Kollel student) who only learns a few hours a day should learn Halachah, not Gemara. Every man must know Orech Chaim, and some Halachot of Yoreh Deah, Even Haezer, and Choshen Mishpat . . . but we see that if we will tell them this, they will not learn at all, because they only want to learn a daf of Gemara each day. Therefore, we should not disallow them to [learn daf yomi], and we hope they will do even that . . . " - Aruch HaShulchan 246:17) Shnayim Mikrah v'echad targum still applies to everyone though.

When someone is born pretty much everything is decided for that person but it isnt decided if he's going to be wicked or righteous. Therefore going to gehinom or heaven is free will, altho its much easier to go to gehinom.
@dovbarleib32564 жыл бұрын
Torah codes only hint at a relative probability of future events happening as a result of people exercising free will. The shorter the skip distance in a code, the greater probability that that event might happen in concert with other events at similar skip distances. You therefore cannot predict events with Torah codes since the skip distance tableaus only have a certain probability of occurring based on human free will choices. So be careful to not use Torah codes to predict the future.

I realize these comments are super old but he's not describing hell. Unless we refer to the 7th level which is never ending. But in Christian terms would be purgatory. That is a cleansing process that is necessary for most before being able to enter Heaven. Now this cleansing process in Jewish or Christian terms is not simply a washing machine like that website says that he mentions early in the video but a painful process to rid us of any lingering sinfulness.
@OkerHarim4 жыл бұрын
I just want to make everyone aware with HaShem's help, that this is all 100% true and factual. There is a reason Chazal were terrified of judgement day and there's a reason in nearly every scriptural book in the past 2000+ years except a few from this generation mentioned reward and punishment, hell is very real and if we don't wake up and start repenting to HaShem, bless be his name, it will be very bad for us. And if you don't believe in heaven or hell, you are considered a heretic according to the Torah, and it states it clearly in the Rambam, because you deny one of the cardinal 13 principles of Jewish faith. Don't even call yourself Jewish if you don't believe in reward or punishment. And for all those people who think science is a g-d and if science haven't discovered it, then it must not exist. According to major scientists in the past 30 years, science claims they've only discovered a measly 13% of our universe (the milky way), so there is still much more out there that we are unaware of. To simply state that it doesn't exist simply stems from denial and ignorance. There are many things we don't see or perceive as the Zohar and many other scriptural sources state: so what are you going to go, gamble on a few foolish people who convinced you otherwise? Or trust the writings of hundreds of holy rabbis and major Jewish figures of the past. Time to wake up! The world can';t exist with a court system , and it exist both down here and up there.

Please explain why mainstream Orthodox rabbis discuss absolutely nothing about things like gehinnom, the sin of spilling seed, punishment for sins, etc. if there are all of these truths you claim exist in various sources. I am looking for an answer deeper than just saying it is because we currently live in a politically-correct society. This is serious stuff that requires a very serious answer. In terms of the generation that merits to witness the coming of Meshiach...will everyone get off scot-free? Or will that generation also be punished somehow?
@YaronReuvenRabbi4 жыл бұрын
no one gets away with anything. Everyone will have to pay the bill for whatever they owe HaShem. The last generation is not an exception, as it says by the prophet Zecharia chapter 14 that 2/3 of the world will be killed initially, while the last 1/3 will be refined like gold and silver, meaning that even from the last 1/3, only those who pass the tests will be saved. This has been the message from HaShem since day one, hence the reason why all of the prophets, sages and real Rabbi's would beg Am Yisrael to do teshuva urgently.

i apprecaite you telling me your opinion, but unfortunately it cannot be true since HaShem included severe punishment as part of the basic level of the Torah (Noah, Tower of Babel, Sodom, Egypt, Spies, Korach, the parashaot of Bechukotai, Ki Tavo, Aazinu and much much more). If what you're saying is true, then it means that God made a mistake, chas v'shalom. The God of Israel does not make mistakes. I am not saying that every person or any person should start off with this lecture, but to say that punishment conversation should be avoided is against the Torah. Of course you know that the Torah is never lacking, and deficiency is rather in us.

Harav with all due respect all that you said is true but how can you put this online most of these sources are Kabbalah things that even Jewish people can’t learn till the age of 40 also don’t you think you will turn some people of who don’t know also about ahavat Hashem and his mercy and that according to Judaism Hashem created this world out of love and chessed etc of course there is punishment but it’s not as black and white as you make it seem, I love you kvod harav but it would be nice for a change to see a 3 hour graphic vid on Gan Eden also, ahavat Hashem is a higher level than yirat Hashem, Hashem is not infinitely cruel, to speak about Gehinom with no context to me is dangerous
@YaronReuvenRabbi5 жыл бұрын
you've been misinformed. HaShem created the world with midat HaDin and the Gemara Shabbat says He only created for you to fear Him. Loving is extra, but as Rebbe Nachman of Breslev said in Lekutai Maharan, if only the righteous in his generation would have yirat shamayim it would be great, as Ahavat HaShem was not possible for most in his generation, kal vachomer in our generation. You can learn more about what other Chasidim said in my most recent Mussar 148 shiur. I quote about 15 of them.
@AviBenHaim3285 жыл бұрын
With all due respect kvod harav the ramchal in derech Hashem writes based on the gemarah that Hashem created this world to do good and to bestow kindness, rav shamshon Rafael Hersh writes that the the first thing a Jew needs to do is learn how to love bec Hashem created this world fully out of love, every day after shemonei esreh we say the 13 middot of rachamim it also says he bestows kindness for THOUSANDS of generations, there is no doubt that Hashem punishes the wicked and everybody gets what they deserves Hashem doesn’t forget one detail and the people that say there is no Gehinom shame on them but there is much more nuance needed when you give such a shiur especially when you’re spreading Kabbalistic teachings that’s my humble opinion, I love you kvod harav and May you continue to be mezakeh harabim

I've seen others say that rule doesn't apply to qualified rabbis teaching these concepts in a shiur, although last time I saw that rule was 15-17 years ago, so I don't remember the source, but if I recall it was a mekubal who studied beis-el yehsiva mekubalim, & with rav dovid cohen zt"l, rav raz, ztl etc

Yakov Gottheil Rav. Yaron Reuven like many kiruv Rabbanim said helping Jewish people come to their Roots Is The Biggest Correction to All Sins. Simply Be Partner To Kosher Kiruv Onganizations.

Sorry AMESH MEASH, but I must correct you. That is not the full Truth. The cure is doing Teshuva, repenting. Admit your sins to HaShem. Regret them. Make a plan to put fences in order not to do the sins again. Try your best never to make these sins again. And go on from there. Being a partner in Kiruv is extremely important, but more importantly, is doing personal Teshuva. Without it, you're missing the fundamentals. Please don't mistake what I say to mean "being a partner to Kiruv is not how you do Teshuva". Of course it helps a ton. But, much more important is personally doing Teshuva. May you all have a lot of success doing full Teshuva. And bring others back to HaShem, also by being a partner in Kiruv.

All laws for how to do repentance can be found in Hilchot Teshuva by the Rambam. Or in English, Laws of Repentance by Maimonides.

Hashem did harden the heart of Pharoh taking away his free choice.
@carlosa.n51006 жыл бұрын
Not exactly. I read that Hashem harden his heart so Pharaoh wouldn't make a decision based of fear. God harden his heart to give him free will to make a logical mental decision to free the hebrews. Instead of freeing the hebrews based from fear of the power of Hashem
@TrustHashemOrg6 жыл бұрын
I heard we were at the 49th gate and Hashem had to harden his heart so we can experience the miracles to give us yirat shamayim to do tshuvah. There are many secrets to this passage. So many layers to our Torah!

@תורתאמת-ל7ג2 жыл бұрын
no its for people who don't do god mitzvots and make sins its impossible to fool god in any possible way so you can't get away with sinning but its a way of making you fear god and do his mitvots and not sin cause of his punishment if you will be more religious you will learn the better way is fearing god kingdom that his everywhere in the world just like fearing a king like a fear of respect but that is a very high and hard thing to really get so doing god will with fear is ok to until we get higher

I’ve asked many rabbis and they’ve said that many of this is false and rabbis like this are just trying to scare you not to do sin and they translate it the way they want to. Seems like your attitude towards this is like rabbi Mizrachis and many rabbis even bigger than rabbi mizrachi say many things he says are false and outright stupidity.
@YaronReuvenRabbi6 жыл бұрын
You obviously did not listen to the lecture in its entirety since your claims (and whoever you use as your rabbi source) are destroyed by the literal sources from over 50 different places in the Torah. It has nothing to do with translation. I did not translate anything. I just compiled the information from many places in our Torah and provided the information along with the sources. All the naysayers CAN NEVER dispute that with even a single source, let alone as many sources. So if you choose to believe their convenient opinions, thats your choice. But you will always know and feel that you are living a lie since the truth was provided to you with SOURCES from the written and oral Torah along with the sages. Ignoring reality is expensive.

Yaron Reuven I’m just very scared, I myself believe what u said in the lecture but it’s terrifying to know that’s how it is. And many big rabbis hat I trust dearly have told me that yes it is true but no one knows for sure because no one has died and had HaShem tell him the truth to come back. It’s impossible. Maybe all this is true in a sense but there are ways to prevent such things from happening like Kaf hakela and gehenem

Even though I don’t know you I consider you my brother an Orthodox Jew to another even though I’m a bit younger at almost 18. I go to a very religious school in Los Angeles and fear g-d very much which is why I don’t want this to be true
@YaronReuvenRabbi6 жыл бұрын
remember that none of what is said in the lecture is "my opinion or thought" but rather what HaShem and His sages said. So anyone who says that they dont believe it or that they are not sure are simply denying HaShem and His sages......we talk about what happens to them in this lecture too (with sources).
