I have to disagree a bit with you about Gehlee's audition clip. It wasn't boring at all. None of us knew about Universe Ticket and the contestants when this was broadcasted. But suddenly out of all the clips in Tiktok, FB, IG, Gehlee's short clip captured everyones attention. Her beauty and poses, vocals and personality can be seen easily. As a result this video became one of the most viewed audition clips from that show. To me, a perfomer or an artist that can captivates you even by doing the basic things means that they have that star quality. Gehlee 100% has that. Yes, this is basic singing and dancing but as someone who has never performed at all i'm very impressed with her poses. They don't look awkward and she knows her angles properly. She's really talented.

For example when I watch a performance I am looking for vocals and choreography more than anything based on this performance, she still has a lot more improvements that I needed before it would really captivate me, which you can see in the later reactions, I am more and more impressed with her. She just needed some training and experience. I also don’t really focus on the beauty of an idol. I kind of think that that’s what’s wrong with the K-pop industry. Everything is so heavily based on looks and I can appreciate when somebody looks good. I don’t want to value them just because of their genetics

@@Torne2Pieces there’s part of the show that Gehlee said that she only focused on singing and it’s her first time training for dancing in UT. And she took it as a challenge and she improved so much!😊🫶🏻 (I think the part is when they’re practicing for Nan performance in UT). But there’s a Gehlee Effect created from this vid tho. So I presume many like her 1v1 performance. And she has been commended for her stable voice. And to tell you 1v1 is pure live. Some highlighted performance from the show sang horribly to think that some of them were already part of Kpop GGs. Try watching UT!😊

Fr i was gonna give up watching survival shows when my first time experience with RUNext broke me down emotionally and Dream Academy almost made me fall asleep not until i saw Gehlee and gagged me with her star quality that made me watch the show lol

I have same thoughts when i see gehlee perform for the first time... She got under develop powerful vocal and no formal training in dancing. My first initial reaction was she cant survive with just like that... But her perseverance and dedication through out the completion really amaze me..she was defeated at the revenge battle and she was put to the lowest rank yet she really work hard to earn everyone respect and i truly admire that.i love how she show her passion, dedication, hard work and talent in every performance she's in to.

1:16 yes she is model, ambassadress to various company and do pageants. She has zero dance training and not a pro singer at that but has basic fundamental. She has first time in everything as a kpop idol on training. She keeps on trying her best for every challenges and learns every steps on the way. I've watch her improve every episode. Thats why I'm interested on her and wish to see what she will become in the future. Elisia on the other hand, has kpop interest since pandemic and a starship trainee for a short while before UT. Other says that Elisia has been scouted by hybes before though .

When Universe Ticket was dropped i at first wasn’t fully interested and didn’t even wanna watch the survival show after exhausting myself watching a heartbreak and backstabbing of a show called RUNext and the most boring survival show called Dream Academy until i saw her performance and personality on tiktok and was gagged by her immense star quality and good personality that immediately made me hooked to watch the dam show just to see what she does and i don’t regret the time i wasted on this show 😂

I totally agree with you 100%.. She and Kotoko are the most improved in Unis.. That is why she lost to Jayla on 1v1 with the score of 3-2. Because I think Jayla is better in 1v1. Most of the time I agree with you but this time I have to disagree with you here. Gehlee's performance is perfect knowing that she didn't have any training especially in dancing. We should not look into it as a critic because again that's her current ability and this was the 1st performance in the competition. Although she lost here, what stand out most of Gehlee's performance is not her dance or vocal talent but her aura. It exudes so much confidence. Viewers and judges alike found this a unique trait of Gehlee which seldom or no one in KPop has seen yet. This performance is where she got dubbed as the Disney Princess. Being an Idol, isn't all about talents. Those can be learned and improve. You have to have a unique trait. Talents will make people applaud you. But personality will make people love you.

If you watched Universe Ticket, you will know she gets noticed starting the 2Ne1 Fire and breakthrough Clon perfermonce. BTW she lost to Jayla this 1 on 1, with a score of 2-3. TBH, all of the UNIS members have excellent work ethic and outlook during the show. I suggest to those who haven't watched it should take a look because these girls endured a lot. You'll really understand why they were the top 8 against even adults who have debuted like Hyeonju. Even on Nana's low moments, you can appreciate her fortitude and mentality.
