Ceri pops up on my screen, and whatever content I am watching, I stop, and click on Ceri’s video to watch. I don’t have a gel plate, but will watch anyway, cause I love all of your content! Even Coffee with Ceri.

Always love seeing your creations. Ceri, there are a bunch of us asking creators if they could make a Joie de fi project & video to support and uplift her. Her health isn't doing very well. And we just lost Rhonda Winstead to cancer in past couple weeks. Our community is so wonderful. Xx, Julie

These came out great 👍 😊 Tim holtz has a revers stamp it’s a at older one, if I remember correctly it’s text or maybe numbers. 😂Everyone complained that it was reversed and thought he had made it in error😂

I want a "trust the process" t-shirt!! If you use a site to get them made, a few of us would probably order them, too! I am trying to learn that for myself--there's always a point with my art and writing where I think, "this is awful." Then a few layers/edits later, totally different piece! Great metaphor for life, too--just keep going and trust in the process! This was a great video as always, thanks for sharing!

I wouldn't put a gel print through a laser printer. The fuser for the toner is quite hot and there's a chance it would melt the paint which is essentially plastic. That would completely muck up your laser. I send tracing paper through my laser printer by taping it across the top of the paper to a sheet of copy paper. It isn't necessary to to tape the sides since the pull is from the top. Thanks for sharing your tips!

I found a pack of Avery labels I'd gotten years ago. I love your process I just need the gel plate lol! I hate diagonals too, I think it makes me think that everything is crooked :/ I've been favoring orange/coral and pink lately but the final (waste) product was honestly my favorite! Anyway, this was great fun, thanks for sharing Ceri.

@@CeriGriffiths May I ask you something, especially as a english speaking person, and I will of course understand if you don´t feel as to answer it. The answer is of course a bit about personal taste also...but...I am looking for an english poem book, poem collection of sorts, light, beautiful poems to use in junkjournals and art journals etc, as is or pieces of. But, I am not so good at english poetry. Would you by any chance have a suggestion Ceri? Or anyone else seeing this?

I could literally watch your videos ALL day! “Now”, I would like to see this video taken one more step…please. Show us what you’re actually going to do with these prints. Would so love to see the variety of tags, labels, the “anythings” you come up with. And do you back the labels on heavier cardstock to make ephemera? And btw…we stopped seeing the sunshine marks at about 10 seconds. We only see your work and you don’t have to apologize

I’ll add your request to future videos, yes I back my ephemera with thin card for stability.

This was super fun! I love your style and the organic look of your gel plate backgrounds like when you mix a bit the two colors….fabulous! Were you using regular tissue paper like what you would use on the inside of a present? I thought it might be deli paper but I noticed you said tissue so I’m now curious. So many ideas are now whirling in my head but of course I must finish my current project before trying some of your amazing techniques. Thank you so much for new inspiration and fun! 🥰
@CeriGriffiths6 ай бұрын
The tissue I used was a wet strength tissue called Carnival tissue paper but I will be filming a video on how to use gift wrap tissue as there are techniques that help with more fragile papers.

Always have time for a Ceri video. Question please Ceri.. what are the black circles and half circles under your gel plates?
@CeriGriffiths6 ай бұрын
They are rubber feet on the underneath of the plexiglass plate to stop it slipping around, my gel plate is then on top of the plexiglass.

Thanks for that Ceri that was very interesting. I have a question about brayers, I heard someone say there was soft and hard brayers, does it make a difference as to which one you use, I don't have a gel plate yet but I'm really looking forward to getting one and when I heard that about the brayers I just thought I'd ask. Thanks again Ceri, that was great info we all learned 😀
@CeriGriffiths6 ай бұрын
I use a soft brayer as I believe hard brayers are for ink printing, I have heard though of people gel printing with both hard and soft………the soft brayer has never let me down.
