Honestly Robyn, I would watch you gel print in the phone book -- everything you do is touched with your own style but also full of inspiration 💚💙💜

Had to rewatch after watching with the live chat. Lol. I'm excited to make these too on my gel plate and with your stamps as I need more pages. I have the patreon book stitched but want to do the one signature book with the sari ribbon. This is too fun!😊

Hi Robyn, In this video is difficult to read the prints while you were pulling, but I see you changed the light near the end, that helped a lot! Thanks. Maybe if you need more light you could change the white balance? That might help to, if you are using a camera to video the session. I would love to see them in focus too! this is a really interesting process. Also --> Gel Printing! thanks for your post and your passion!

That first golden colored paper you tried to clean your gelli plate with turned out looking something within the Dead Sea scrolls. I have been trying to create that look. I visited Israel and went to The Shrine of The Book where the scrolls are housed. The old documents and seeing them now was so fascinating. As I make my memory book I wanted to create some of my own papers that looked like the Dead Sea scroll. Perhaps not cleaning my gelli plate will give me that ancient Hebrew scroll fragment type of look. I would need a different type of script with ancient Hebrew like text. Once again can look like that, even with a bit of paleo Hebrew thrown in. Although they had moved past paleo Hebrew Hebrew at the time of the Dead Sea scrolls, would still be fascinating to create some papers like that.

I love this share! I’ve never seen the Dead Sea scrolls in person but listening to you describe them you’ll have me going to research them for inspiration! Thx xo

Hi, I was thinking about getting some of your foam script stamps, but don’t see any links or supplies that used to show up under descriptions. Looking forward to starting on the old documents script and stained papers. Thanks!

You can find them at Artfoamies.com under Artist section look for my name and my stamps are there…Enjoy!

What are the benefits of 100% cotton paper? Are you using pieces of “stamping buddy” to apply the ink? Is that available for purchase somewhere? I learn so much from your videos and appreciate your expertise! Wish I were not restricted by a fixed retirement income and could access more!
@RobynMcClendon Жыл бұрын
Hi Sandy Thx for being in my community, So glad you enjoy my work :) The benefits of the 100% paper is that it takes the paints and inks much better, less likey to tear and when you stain them the staining really visibly bleeds into the fibers, It also makes superior papers for sewing books with. 😍

I wanted to know what was the name of the "tool" that you use to spread the ink on the foam stamps. I could not find it anywhere? Thanks!

Is there a reason you coffee/tea stain after you make your prints? Or is it okay to stain the paper you are going to use in gelli printing?
@RobynMcClendon Жыл бұрын
For sure you can do it either way, however you will get a little extra bleeding from the inks not a lot so I sometimes encourage that! Great question thx! :)
