I love to watch all the outcomes of your work. A couple of the prints remind me of the night sky with the stars. And thank you for all the time and patients that goes into all of this. The print that you pulled using the stone increase with blue under the stencil and then used a vintage white paint on top and pulled the print...I tried that one but not with the same stencil and it came out nice. All the different looks are so fitting for the world in which we live. I know this is an older video but I have missed so many and I'm trying to catch up. lol

Really love ur videos... you tickle me when you experiment with things... I have a package of instant mashed potatoes flakes that I don’t use... thinking about shaking some on a gel plate... with & without water. Just to see what I get. I love finding things around the house that make unique marks/patterns on the plate. I stocked up on things while I worked up my courage to begin Gelli plating cuz I had a feeling I would fall in love with it... lol But, I was actually correct!!! I sooo love playing with mine!!! Have many many acrylic paints from when I painted wood chunks so that’s what I’m trying to use up as I watch these vids and make a list of replacement paint & colors. Thanx soo much for your videos! I know they’re a lot of work but you make them look easy! Lol. Yes. I just subscribed and will be catching up with the rest of ur vids. Be seeing ya! ~Bobbi

great prints! an idea for the graphite and coffee -- put a spoon full in a small mesh sieve or wire mesh tea ball and then tap a spoon on the side of the tea ball to help disperse the powder over the geli plate/ stencil etc like a baker does with powdered sugar- won't clump as much and will be more even

Just stumbled onto your videos and laughed out loud because you print the way I do....NO PLAN!!! All out go-for-it. In my previous life I was a TV producer/reporter/on camera talent and it does take practice, just like printing on the Gelli - but with time and experience you get more confidence. Doing voice over is less intimidating and its fun to share your surprise at the pulled print. Nice job all the way around. I teach Gelli printing classes at a local art store so I'm always looking to see what the designers are doing. You gave me some great class ideas.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching you print and hearing your narration. I never would have thought of the instant coffee. I love the color you got from it. I love every single print! I used to think when I looked at some of my prints "what on earth am I going to do with that" and awww that didn't turn out so good" but then found that when I used them to make tags and things they took on a whole new lease of life. I love using fine salt particles they give a good look, and I had a phase where I just decided to do plant material, then I had a phase where I tried thread and string 'n' things. You were great even back then. Have you tried the little silky fibers, or what I did was take some hemp cord and untwisted it until I got to one strand. Then I just kept pull the fibers off of there and it was really neat. on the plate. You can make it look like marbled paper. So cool. Also, my favorite these days is from the produce section at the grocery store. I always have done anything that grows outside from weeds to bamboo to pansies. Also feathers, etc. but one thing I hadn't looked as a texture item was in the produce section at the grocery store in the greens section. Where the cabbages are. It all started with the Bok Choi. I had a huge head of it so I wanted to cut the top, all the looser leaves toward the bottom straight off. I did the same thing with Celery before and both of these vegetables give a print that looks like a rose. It's beautiful. So the next time I went to the grocery store I saw these curly greens that I had never seen before. I knew the name, they were chicory. I think it's a bitter lettuce but, it has the greatest texture and shapes. Look up that pic if you haven't seen it before. Then next in line the Savoy cabbage caught my eye, check it out. It's texture is just about like alligator skin. Tough as nails and the pattern on it is great. So just keep an eye out anywhere you go cause unless it's sharp edges or something anything at all can go on the plate. I do different fabrics, etc.

What gorgeous prints, so many of them should be framed, especially the autumnal looking ones. I'm still learning about working with my gelli plate, and have come to the conclusion that I need to learn to be patient, and wait till each layer dries! Thanks so much for sharing xxxxxxx

ooooh I bet you could!!! Just let it dry out first maybe! So it's easier to sprinkle! As for the graphite, just had a thought. If you have a graphite stick you could scrape a knife along the stick to get some powder!
