Aloha! I have a question. When doing gel nail tips sets. I use a clear nail full coverage tip I purchased from Amazon. Can I paint the tips with gel polish before applying them on my nails? Can I design them too with rhinestones and cure before applying? I'm left handed and I do such a good job on my right and but am having a hard time applying rhinestones to my left hand. Thank you!

Hi! That is a great question, my only concern is that due to the nail already having the layers of gel polish on it, as well as any rhinestones. It may be a bit harder to cure fully through to ensure that all of the gel adhesive is cured because it has to cure through so many layers. It’s a great concept if you’re wearing them as press ons, but I’m not so sure about curing them on.

I think you still have the blue foil on the bottom of the lamp. If you take it off the gel is cured better underneath of the nails

I do😂 I dislike, making my lamps messy in case one of my fingernails touches the bottom. I’ll keep it on as long as possible until it gets messy and then I’ll pull it off so it’s like brand new all over again. Lol

Is gel x a type of nail style or is it a brand? I’m curious I’ve been watching videos on it and some of these tips says gel x and other do not.

Great question so the brand Apres is the originator of Gel X for their extension. However, other brands sell gel extensions and instead of saying extension, we just say X. Gel X (Gel Extension) also other brands of market themselves as soft gel tips because Gel X is already owned by Apres. But they’re all just gel extensions 🤍
