I so appreciate being able to hang out with you wonderful ladies. I got so inspired by Mariah today that I spent the whole rest of the day in my art corner experimenting with this 'n that. Watching on replay. Why can't we see Patricia? Your baby is beautiful! I can see her on the plate. LOVE IT! The print that Patricia handed to Maria after she stopped making prints has a very small long haired guy with a beard and a mustache. It was in the lower left of The picture (from your view). OK, let me get this straight, you pulled the color seps from an image, printed each out on the laser, then used each one for image transfers (of various colors of paint) on to one paper making a print of the successive layers? Did you pump the contrast/black on the the various seps? The experimenting was awesome to watch! Thank you! Next week: we'll need 3D glasses, right? :)

Ohhh you are so good Deb! Yes that is exactly right with the separations... we did not alter them other than one set where Brad lowered the saturation. All the other sets or at least most were printed at the best quality setting. It would be interesting to play with each separations saturation bumping it up so get the most out of the laser print. Hiya, I started to watch the live but it starts at 3am here in Australia. So I’m here on the rewatch now 🙂 I did an image transfer accidentally one day. I was using old music paper and it transferred to the plate. I was so excited! I have done a few magazine images since but I would rather watch people do it. Lucky I’m here haha.

Completely understandable... the time difference is crazy, no worries. P does the accidental transfers all the time and every time is just as exciting as the first, hahaha. Trying to make them happen is a struggle and totally get the frustration they can be. We are so happy you are here and enjoyed. Hugs

Ohh Keturah I 100% agree about the photo part of it all this was more an exercise by way of using offset printing into the transfer of color in layers and making them more collage-esque. Thank you so much for watching big love and hugs to you too.

Caught the replay, which I found very interesting as it helps me with a color-separation image-transfer process I've been working toward. (First, I need to get any kind of image-transfer to work on the gel plate, which has been a struggle.) Thanks for sharing your experiments. Semi-related question: Have you ever provided a written list of which Ara paints you have, and which you or Patricia especially like?
