Just come across your channel today. You must have had advice about your orchid by now? Always cut the spent flower stalk, cut down to where it starts from, unless there is a side shoot from it. Sometimes the roots like to be visible in their clear pot, if the roots are green that is great. You may need to repot it, or change the bark chips around the roots. When you do that, rinse the roots in water, and trim any very straggly ends. Soak the firmly re-potted orchid in water and I am sure it will be very grateful. It may need a little feed occasionally mixed in water and sprayed on. Give it a soak every couple of weeks, otherwise just spray it with water every few days depending on how hot it is where you live.

I did it. I got a gelli plate and tried it out. I will need practice and better fabric paint. Feels funny even after a few days drying. Thanks Lisa. Looking forward to more painting fabric trials.

ohhhh, the fun part is experimenting. Which fabric paint are you using?

@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead Mont Marte. I don't know anything about them but it says fabric paint. I will upgrade. Your painting on the that lilac and I think green table topper is what I want to achieve.

I keep a 9 x 13 pan with some water in it next to me and when I finish with my stencil, I just toss it in the water to soak until I get ready to clean it. For the orchid, after I make tea I squeeze the bag over my orchid, that gives it the tannins that it would get in nature. I enjoy your videos so much, thank you for all you do.

I like the fabric piece with the cricket stencil. The turquoise and blue one I think it turned out really nice, I'm liking all the squares but so far, I think the ones using a stencil are my favorite.

Last week I did some jell printing on fabric after about 4 years of not. It was a royal mess! I should have watched the video first. But now I have backgrounds to stencil and stamp.

I love what you've done! Great video! In playing with my gel printing, found I wanted to print on a larger area than my 8 by 10 plate and remembered I had jumbo 2 gallon ziplock bags and placed a large piece of cardboard covered with a towel for cushion and support. It works great for a use what you have diy surface. Aloha, chiyo

I am watching this on re play. It is very interesting and reminded me of a batik fabric. I really like the idea of using the stencils. This is a very new technique to me, but something I am willing to experiment with. And in answer to your question, yes Hobby Lobby does sell all of these. I wonder if you put several colors on in a certain pattern , then take a string or chain and pull the colors to a design, would you be able to place the fabric on the new design and carefully print it on the fabric, or would it smear?

When you did the blue and white I wish you hadn't blotted it, because it was like looking at the sky and was awesome, that with the lace would have been perfect. I can hardly wait to see your finished art quilt

3 of my orchids are in full bloom. Your leaves are fine. I would trim that off and prop up the new one.

Trim the dead stem. When watering you want to soak the plant once a week in room temp water then drain the extra water. Your orchid likes indirect lighting

It should bloom from April to September. Your leaves are fine. I trim the dead roots once a year after all the blooms fall off

You can stick a pin in the nozzle of your fabric medium, that's what I do with my Tacky glue, and just leave it in the hole.
