My friend got me the Moonlight pack for Christmas because I kept talking about how much I wanted to try them after watching your first pen haul and I love them too! She gave them to me early and I got the rest of my friends black bags for Christmas and doodled on them with the pens and they loved it, I'm glad you posted this because I'm afraid I'll be turning into a penoholic soon too and will need storage inspiration!

Thank you, your video on colored pens was very helpful. I too am addicted to the gel pens now but I'm totally unorganized. I've only been coloring with pens for about a year; previously I used pencils. You helped me understand the differences, colors, sizes, and I know I will be adding even more pens to my collection. I also subscribed and look forward to more coloring and DIY videos in the future.

The Moonlight pens are my favorite Jelly Roll pens for my planner. No matter what color paper I'm writing on, the Moonlight pens show up so well.I find the silver shadow and gold shadow colors are all hard to read , so I don't use them to write in my planner anymore, but they work for decorating the pages.

When I was in elementary school my friends and I were obsessed with the Silver Shadow style Gelly Rolls. We loved writing in them and then erasing the shadow part from part of what we'd written. So it was like a mix of the silver and color. We also thought it was magical that you could erase away the silver.

Pen and paper art supply addict to the extreme. I use those plastic slide out drawer cases from Walmart, the smaller ones with 4 drawers in each. Each type of utensil gets a labeled drawer- like Prismacolor soft water color pencils, Staedler water color pencils, black micro fine liner makers, sharpie large, Bic Large, Sharpie small, and so on, and so on, 2 drawers scissor sharps, and deadly sharps for my cutting utensils. Wheneer I get something new I swatch it on paper, label the color # or name those go into clear liner binder pouches and a 1" 3 ring binder. (OCD much?) New brilliant gelly pens from Amazon 120 colors and finishes all different, $14.99- prime shipping, none of them labeled witha color, and the caps and cases didn't accurately represent the actual color- Sooooo, 2 sets of swatches, one for the notebook, then wide white tape across from of the box , with swatches numbered in sets of 30 per drawer. To make sure they didn't get mixed up, used 4 shades of cheap washi tape the band the bottom of each one in the group of 30, and number it. Sad, sooo sooo sad. Love my Gelmushi pens thoough!

i grew up with these pens! for the gold and silver shadow pens, you can actually use an eraser to rub off the gold/silver shimmer on top to create texture/different effects.

Hi, My name is Patty and I'm a fellow pen addict. I THOUGHT I was a notebook or paper addict, but I finally discovered that my favorite thing about paper is how various INKS look on it and how the ink "flows" onto the paper! I can write PAGES in my journals about pens -- my whole family jokes about it. I see from the comments that some of you might understand what I'm trying to say! The moonlight ones light up in the dark not like glow in the dark but their is this light too them sort of like a pale moonlight effect to the moonlight pens ! I have the grey ones and they really do light up at night .

I've had that case for several months and it still looks brand new on the outside, which is really saying something, since I tend to be really hard on my things. The elastic doesn't stretch out as much as you would think, and mine is showing a bit of wear. Overall a good product, though! I'd buy it agian.

A quick question, if I may. I noticed the white Gelly Roll pens in your pack. Do they work well for writing on black or dark backgrounds, and is the ink pigmented please?

+liz round They do! But from experience, if it's on top of other marker/pen ink make sure it's completely dry first or it won't be as opaque. Also the pens don't write as easily on top of soufflé pens, the texture is too glossy. They work great on top of dark paper though!

This might have been said and I didn't notice, but gel pens are best kept point down. The gel likes to settle when you put them on their sides. They also like to explode when put tip up.

I liked. I subscribed. I have been a pen addict since grammar school - which started for me in the 60's - yikes. I was thrilled with the Bic pen that had 4 colors in one - we have come a long way since then. I just got my first big set of gel pens. They are by Shuttle Art. I love them for coloring in adult coloring books. I saw that case on Amazon , and am contemplating getting it. Right now my pens are in a pretty good case - but I don't think it's a good long term storage solution. I have also started adding colored pencils to my arsinol. Some came in a very nice tin, but most of mine came in flimsy boxes. I like the roll up type cases for those. So nice to see another pen enthusiast. I like to say we encourage each other rather than enable! TFS

I am a stationary horder, it's a problem haha I got one of these pens from my brother and imediately went to hobby lobby to get a full pack. I love them, they dry quickly but be warned if you're left handed, it will smear in the first few seconds before they dry!
