I truly need help/advice with my Avocado trees: I have tried everything! One tree is about 9 YO, a Zutano, the other about 3 YO, Fuerte. I have never been able to get any fruit. I am at my wits end. I've fertilized using organic 5-5-5, a slow release earlier in the year, starting in Feb, fish emulsion, every 2 weeks, and one application of the high blooming fertilizer in Feb. One tree only got a few flowers, the other had many and now there are only leaves. I live in the central coast, 9b. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Yes, I got some Reeds 2 yrs ago. That tree is now in ground. Hass and Gem too.

@@TheElsinoreGardener mine fruit but drop them. Please post a video on husbandry from flowering to harvest. In ground you’re not to fertilize but potted might be different. Mahalo

how many gallon pot did you use for this gem and h ow is it doing now? i was thinking of getting a 15gal at maddock and place it into a 25gal.. not sure if that will work good

That should work. If you can find a larger one that can work too. Leave the tree deep enough in a larger pot to add lots of mulch

Proper consistent watering and fertilizing schedule is the first thing. The tree also needs to be ready to hold fruit. Sometimes they flower when they can’t hold the fruit. In that case, they’ll usually drop the fruit off the tree. It’s very common.
