Powerful!! I fell in love with Albert Finney during the early eighties with wolfen and looker . His portrayal makes Humphrey Bogart look like a simpleton

British take on Dashiell Hammett . . . which I had a hard time following - partly the accents, partly the action, but mainly the plot. Made it all the way to the end, though.

I like old movies but not this one. A rather thin story line and, above all I could not sympathize in any way with the role played by Finney. I dislike persons trying to sound smart or funny but are unable to make any common sentence.

Despite having absolutely no idea what that was all about I really enjoyed it - I love Albert Finney, and the prison guard from Porridge was great.
