I was able to monitor several radio pings on my SDR Play using SDR Uno software and monitoring the pilot carrier signal from digital channel 2 TV stations.

Cool demo, Larry! Thanks for sharing that. I've always liked the idea of using continuous duty transmitters out there as signal sources (NWS FM transmitters, for example). Great idea using a pilot signal from TV stations!.

You may or may not know, many of us hams use the ionized trails to communicate via the WSJT-X software. Almost always in the morning hrs we use Hi-Speed meteor scatter. The call frequency is 50.260Mhz.

Hi Larry! That's a very interesting way to monitor the activity. Did you notice any activity in the 6 or 10 meter Ham bands there in MN? You have an enjoyable and informative channel, and I always look forward to your cool videos. 73, Jack

I looked a little on those bands but didn't spend much time, I need to check those more often but this time was concentration on this frequency. Glad you enjoy the videos, appreciate that very much! Happy New Year and 73.
