For geographic location, I live in the Caribbean and I tried a host of products made in the US and when I tried a locally made product, I was amazed. I'm now hooked on purchasing locally made products rather than imported products. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE

What were some of the differences that noticed with using locally compared to outsourced?
@GEMNaturals3 жыл бұрын
I’m so happy to hear this and now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense! I’d imagine the locally made products may be formulated to combat any issues that people may encounter for that specific area. thanks so much for watching!

Good reminder about the change in seasons. Now that it's getting cold, my hair seems dryer than usual. It's amazing how you forget what winter is like as soon as it warms up.

So true, I'm usually like, "how did I get through last Winter?!" lol!

@@GEMNaturals Very interesting Jill. With your story telling background, RPG does sound like a good fit. It would be awesome to see you play through a game and voice act characters lol 👍🏾

That humidity is a killer. It's just not started to cool off where I live!

I'm confused with the himectant answer. Yes to humectants in humid areas on as a winter regimen? Or yes to humectants for summer treatment? Thank you and as usual you are fabulous!!
@GEMNaturals3 жыл бұрын
In high humidity conditions (I.e. summer) and you find your hair frizzing up while your outside, I’d opt for products without humectants.

I've always been confused about how humidity affects hair. Care to educate me?
@GEMNaturals3 жыл бұрын
Think of humidity as moisture because that’s essentially what it is. It’s the measure of how much moisture is in the air. So the affects a humid environment will have on your hair is similar to what water will do only at a much slower rate. Your cuticles tend to open and the hair shaft swells which is why our styles are sometimes ruined the second we step outside in humid weather. Hope this helps!

Scientifically speaking, no. Do whatever works best for your own hair, but the average household doesn't contain the sort of equipment to make a real protein treatment that works as well as store bought. My high porosity hair could never survive without real protein, but as Jillian says, her low porosity hair survives fine with just an egg.
