Actually, the 16bit Denso ECUs on the Hayabusa can be re-flashed...

Do you have any link to a device that doesn't require bench flashing the eeprom?

The 24Fxx series ecus can be re-flashed without removal, though there is no commercially available device to do it at this time. I've tested a prototype and was planning to have some interface PCBs made later this year, but there really isn't much demand. You can find out more about it here:sites.google.com/site/mrhollywoodk3/home

Thanks for sharing! Do you mind if I add the link to your 16bit ecu hack to the video description? This is the kind of thing that could be very useful since replacing the rotor and ecu is not a cheap route to follow, especially on a barely tuned bike or car. The OBD functionality is the extra icing on the cake... much better than splicing wires and telling a datalogger what to read and how to read it!

Sure. Unfortunately these ECUs are not OBD compliant, so none of the data logging or diagnostic functionality is available. They just share the same ISO 9141 electrical interface...

Is this like reset !??

No, the box we installed lets you write the original ECU. However we noticed that it's barely sufficient to keep a built engine together so we scrapped it and installed an AEM EMS4 instead :)
