The amount of energy it dumped into that clay block was insane!!

I’m overwhelmed with desire for that rig. What a combination! The Javelins, the Panthera both awesome.

Outstanding! The clay points a much clear picture of the wound cavity! Well done!

It was super interesting to see the cavity the round created in the clay, I'm not very versed in high powered air rifles and found this extremely interesting. Great video. 👍

Great info Rick. The slug slows down at 200 yds so it will penetrate like 100 yards, but expands enough at 200 yards to do damage. Awsome data

Great Video!! on the Gel - once you cut - try using a long handle locking forceps to get it. Can get 'em at Harbor Freight relatively cheap.
@ryanbranco9786 Жыл бұрын
On the Gel, I would like to share what I’ve seen done. 2 shots on 1 end and then spin around and shoot the other side. Especially with air rifles that don’t always pass through. This way you don’t have to worry as much about hitting the same cavity as a previous shot. What did you prefer, clay or gel? To me the clay holds the energy cavity whereas the gel’s cavity closes back. Great vid!

Great job Rick. Always a schooling when you do this kind of video for sure. Very impressive results on expansion and penetration. Mr Hollowpoint uses long needle nose pliers to extract slugs, Im pretty sure Ive seen other channel hosts do the same.

After you cut a slit in the gel use a pair of forceps to pull the round
@billhatcher2984 Жыл бұрын
Just use a pair of hemostats and punch them from whatever side they are closest to and keep them closed until you are on top then open grab and extract

Hi Rick, based on the ballistics for the 34 grain Javelins, what speed do you estimate the slug was traveling at 50, 100 and 200 yards? Thank you.
