Great info Rick, thank you; that rain will destroy your Impact in no time. All screws are made of regular steel which rusts so fast, and then you won't be able to remove them if you ever need to disassemble the gun. the only way to prevent it, is to take all screws out dry them, and dry the screw holes...

Yes I'm shooting my Maverick 30 caliber with a reg pressure of 150 bar and at 30 yd my birds are flying away unless it's a direct headshot just wanted to share my experience and thank you for the content you provide

Even the.17 cal Hades work well. I have headshot ground squirrels from 15 to 25 yards with a Dream Tac Compact at 850 fps. Four shots, four kills with no exit.

I have two PCPs in 25 cal., hatsan T44PA-40FPE, A/V 45-60fpa depending on reg settings, my next gun is gonna be a 30cal. Haven't decided on the brand yet, 30cal looks hard hitting, great video, woo hoo!!

I have a mk2 compact 30cal impact, and I Love the gun!To me it's the AR sniper rifle of the airgun world!Very high quality and Amazing accuracy. I have hades in 25 cal but have not tried the hades 30cal,and damn ,the way it opened up, and the channel it left in the clay is Impressive 4sure!And a thousand feet a second is No Joke!I hope I can get my fx hybrid slugs to go 1000 feet a second!

Sorry I hit the wrong button my reg pressure is the same at 1:50 and 170 my chronograph said I was shooting at 600 ft per second so I definitely have a problem I just don't know what I was shooting 800 ft per second with my reg 110 130 so I was expecting to be closer to a thousand no my gun was in storage with no pressure on it for 2 years in the heat so definitely something has happened if you have any recommendations on where I can send it to have it worked on that's not going to cost me as much as a new gun I appreciate any information and advice you can give me thanfüyjou

I was led to believe diabolo shaped pellets have the best accuracy between 830 and 900 FPS. I have a question to Rick regarding his accuracy with these pellets at over 1000 FPS, I hope he clarifies. :)

I did reply . 1000 FPS only for our test purposes. They are accurate at 1000 at 50 yds I didn’t group them at 100 yet . Best accuracy is 880 to 910 in my opinion.

The pellets from a certain speed 910fps within the transonic speed lose precision because the Pellet spirals, and at 1000fps or more the BC becomes useless, but I have hunted with the 50 grain jsb at 1010fps between 30 to 50 meters with real success, but not it's his thing.

Hello all, I'm watching many of these PCP air rifle videos to get educated on them and narrow down to a model(s) to purchase. I like the lower cost ammo, no FFA lic. restrictions, and the quiet operation with a moderator. A question I have for the community would be, how reliable are these high-PSI guns? 3500-4500 PSI models. Do they require a lot of maintenance and tinkering? How are they after 5-10,000 rounds? A good .22 rimfire is about the same $$, maybe a bit less, but they are a little more costly on ammo, louder, have more legal responsibilities, etc. I can allocate the money for either, but I'm building my personal armory/tool chest and I prefer to buy the right pieces the first time. Thanks for all responses. BTW, I am a nookie, be kind😁😆

I've owned a Hatsan flash for about 5 years now it's doing about 40 foot pounds in 25 caliber and the aea Challenger Bullpup series is very good it's less than me about 2 years up around 80 ft lb

We were testing at a higher FPS for expansion of the hades . You are correct 880 to 910 is a great FPS for accuracy especially at 100 + yards .

I did the same math Kobus. I shoot the Hades in .22 cal and they also have a worse BC than their dome shaped counterparts. Likely the grooves cut into the head cause them to dump speed faster than a domed pellet, thus reducing the BC. I'm also curious if Rick was shooting the Hades at 1000 FPS when he did the accuracy test, I was under the understanding that diabolo shaped pellets are most accurate between 830 and 900 FPS.

@@Andrew-ut1yv also use the hades in 0.22 and love them. The bc of the 0.22 hades is lower than normal domed pellet, but not much. But compare to the 30 cal 44.75 gr jsb with bc at 0.042 . It a big drop in bc for the 30 cals. I also see on some other review and hunting that all of them shoots the 30 cal hades at 1000 fps. Definitely also gonna try them at that speeds. Hopefully we will get them very soon in South Africa.

One thing I don't understand is from what they tell me ballistics gel and Clay are equally representative of cavities in terms of Flesh but when the same pellet hits the clay the cavity is huge as compared to the ballistics gel? Can anyone explain this?

What was your reg set at here to get those speeds? I'm guessing around 150? I have the same exact gun and mine is set at 130 and I'm pushing them at 948 fps. IME with Hades in any cal taken from actual game, they look a lot closer to what you got in the gel.

With the dual transfer port and the slug pin probe, with 140bar you can get over 1000fps with the .30

Try using a fish line to cut your clay block. You can tie a little wood dow on each end of a 12 to 18 inch fish line and it will slice the clay perfectly. Just saying from a potter who has cut tons of clay blocks over the last 50 years or more. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXaUg6GditqeoM0
