GEN 6 Multi-Weather Honda Goldwing

I had a '77 GL1000. I rode her for 5 years, and put around 300k miles on her. I replaced two seats. For the last three years that I had her, she was the only vehicle I had. I rode her to Kansas City in a blizzard. My current bike is an XVS650 Yamaha, and I rode her last week to get groceries, again, the only vehicle I own, and it was in the mid 30s.

I rode at 35F in early January up here in the Northeast. Tried out a 7V heated vest and only needed low power and hand grips on the 4 setting. I like the cool weather. After snow the roads are covered in salt so the Cloud (my GW name) and I are waiting for warmer weather to start up the throttle therapy again. Keep smilin and ride safe.

Goldwing is just amazing. My 2005 is getting the all balls steering head bearings installed today. Looking forward to the ride even more.

Rich, every Wing I have had, 1987, 1989 and 2012 all have been all weather Wings. I have ridden in all weather also. Be safe, have fun.

Another great video Rich. As a fellow night shift worker and rider, I certainly know where you are coming from with the fogginess on the date! 🤣😭😂 A couple of mornings ago, I was riding home in 46°F temps just south of Tampa and the only thing that I found fell a little short were my gloves. They have been fine in the mid 50s but it’s time for an upgrade. I have a new pair arriving today and can wait for the cold this weekend to try them out! Yep, sounds crazy from a Florida boy but it’s kinda refreshing riding in the crisp temps 🥶 Keep doing what you’re doing!
