First, you are forgetting that because Trump led a coup attempt, he, Trump, created a very unstable situation. Because he is so unhinged, many people in this nation and across the globe were concerned that Trump would start a war in an effort to remain in office. General Milley called China to reassure them that we were not planning to go to war with them. Had China thought that we were they might have launched a preemptive strike. In summary, Trump destabilized the world with his crimes. General Milley was trying to clean up the mess that Trump created. Trump is grossly unfit for any office. He is so corrupt that he is no longer licensed to conduct business in the state of New York. He should be disqualified from holding any office, and if he would suspend our Constitution, he should be removed.

@@janerkenbrack3373 Athough I am willing to afford General Milley the respect he has earned and deserves, I don't really see how the events surrounding internal political struggles within the USA merit military personnel conducting backdoor communications with a potential hostile state / enemy. Irrespective of any possible outcome of the hotly contested election, the Chinese Communist Party leaders must surely know that launching a nuclear attack against the United States would result in a measured response commensurate with their initial volley. Milley might garner greater admiration from his military service brethren if he were to simply remain silent on these issues since anything he might say is likely to be misconstrued by other figures in the political arena/battleground. Traitor, your duty was not to leave military equipment in another country. How can you possibly think that was a good idea. And if China is such a threat and I believe they are, why would you call them for a heads up.
@saintjezebel
@saintjezebel 8 ай бұрын
If you truly want an answer, the reason here would be to alert the Chinese government of any errant lashings out that Trump may have caused in his refusing to resign. It would be one thing if we were coordinating some grand surprise attack and he ratted, but we didn't. He called to say, in essence, "Please know if this guy orders an attack last second, this isn't an act of war, don't force us into a world-ending nuclear exchange". Because Trump had and still has a reputation which would suggest he would do something so insane as to throw cruise missiles at China before being dragged from office. As for your comment on leaving military equipment behind, that equipment took twenty years to get there, and it would have taken an appreciably long time to get it out in return. Afghanistan is a landlocked mountainous country with only a couple of roads in and out. Having had ended operations, troops were withdrawing and mopping up as they went as it were. To have made an effort to ship all of this out would have been a disaster. Consider the following: - We had a deal with the Taliban, signed and on paper, by president Trump that we would be out within a certain time period. Biden extended this to allow for a more tidy and safe withdrawl than what even Trump could have hoped for, and you see how it was in many ways flawed, so I do not believe it would be any better brought forward several months - The evacuation deal at hand involved doing so by air. To have shipped everything out by ground would have involved re-opening operations across the entire country in order to protect the convoys. Remember, the Taliban are not our friends even in respecting this treaty. When the soviet union did their withdrawl in the 80s, they brought all of their tanks and trucks home as you insist we should've. What resulted was an utter military disaster, with hundreds of deaths in its own right, and the rebels actively firing on Russian convoys as they crossed the bridge to leave the country. Russian tank transports were being literally chased out of the country. I do not think this would be considered less humiliating had we taken this option.

What was in it for the dead soldier? If you studied war you would know that the dead soldier was a father who was protecting his family and property. A son protecting his family and possessions no matter how large or small his possessions was! Died defending a threat to his home. Most soldiers die not knowing why the war was started. What ever ignited the war his family, home, possessions, and life (as he knew it) was in jeopardy! Funny statement. 600,000 dead soldiers during the civil war who died over a hoax! The men who started that war suppressed that hoax. Those men lived a full and rich life. The family's of the victims of that hoax know live in the greatest country in the world. Not France but America!
