There HAS to be some reason Mr Edgar is so fearless and why others like Homelander are intimidated by him. He either has some mind control abilities, technology that protects him and/or tech that could revert supes to humans. Or he is one of or in fact THE most powerful supe weve ever seen. If he just gets popped one day Im gonna be really sad.

@endy0834 Yes that's a good point. But the show has done a fabulous job showing how some supes have zero issue with outright murdering non supes. You don't just fear a non-supe cuz theyre calm and cryptic or they have a phd in psycology. Supes like homelander fear consequences. Whether thats a loss of tv ratings, endorsement, losing control, or some other reason, its all the same. Homelander for example clearly sees humans as inferiors and while he lusts for the fame and power it brings it doesn't explain his respect for Stan Edar enough IMO. There's something else keeping Homelander in line. Maybe Edgar has technologizes soldier boys power in such a way that Edger could easily eliminate him and any other supe. Perhaps the sonic tech in the gen v series is an off chute or rather a non-lethal version. After all you want supes to fall in line not have to be replaced. Their penultimate goal of their tech is the v24 serum for the military. It stands to reason that the shows and the glamour was all just a way to fund that.
