About The Boys: THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.

Deeply. Wholly. Felt. Man..I bet that kid doesn't also feel unhappy.. being an (exploited) 'unintentional' poster child for Vaught. There was something of that in the "Jerry's Kids" telethon that used to smack of same, too. Though he earned alotta money for M.S. research. I feel for that poor kid...having to put up w/A-Train's gauche, cluelessness. Ashley's bad. But, A-Train is uneducatedly indifferent..if it's not HIS experience (in life). HIS "truth". (With) Ashley, you expect cultural tone-deafness w/. Not so w/A-Train. Sheesh! 😂

But it became a problem when I noticed the right side of my head's hair was almost gone compared to the left, so I had to go almost completely bald so that every section of my hair grows the same length naturaly. When my hair started to become big again I had to schedule a small period of time which I could touch my hair but not rip it off 2-3 times a day (Ik crazy). That way slowly the need to touch my hair more started to disappear There are rare times which I do feel an "itch" for it even today but It doesn't bother me anymore, Atleast I can control myself way better then before. For me Ashley is just as good as Homelander in terms of acting performance, and sometimes even better. Homelander's character "development" looks organic and natural - he has always been like that, just couldn't show his true face. While Ashley's motivation shift from professional ambitions to the pure freaking primal fear is awesome. Homelander is the same, although he doesn't act the same. Ashley, on the other hand, acts mostly the same, but you clearly see that she will never be the same, lol. And her scenario, in my opinion, is more unorthodox and challenging in terms of acting.

In one of my old jobs, I know a lady who could relate 😂 she had the hardest job in the whole company cause the execs kept doing whatever the hell they wanted and made her cover up all their BS, including the corruption and crimes. After the company went down and they were arrested she did an expose on how they forced her to keep her job which included bribery, abuse, blackmail, and even threats about her family. Imagine 6 Homelanders but without superpowers. It was a pretty big company, it was even in the local news. I hope her therapy is working and she's ok today 🙏

I've never been able to hate Ashley. I've always felt bad for her, she just seems kind of stuck. If she tries to leave, Homelander will likely kill her. And she doesn't have any superpowers to even try to defend herself like Starlight and Maeve. She's just essentially forced to do Homelander's bidding to keep her life and to me that's so sad 😭 I genuinely hope she can somehow get out of her situation. She definitely has more humanity in her than she sometimes lets on

Nope. The show is satirical. There's a General ignorant belief system among US Citizens that beyond the borders of USA do live a lesser people. Homelander was capturing that and the fact that it's US that would be paying their salary becoz Americans are obsessed with the military and protecting themselves from others including imaginary enemies, it explains their always massive military budgets. He's also being satirical towards United Nations which is heavily underfunded by well wishers.
@decepticonxhunter4850
@decepticonxhunter4850 Жыл бұрын
Like Homelander explained, the "Saving America" motto would go over better because the whole point was to convince the government that it was in the best interests of the ppl to put supes into the U.S. military. "Saving The World" wouldn't have gone over very well with other countries, especially because it was a lot easier to convince everyone that the U.S. was under attack by foreign operatives.

you think Homelander would let her leave alive with the amount of stuff she knows? He's a paranoid narcist and the rest of Vought's executives aren't much better. At best they'd ruin her chances to get a career elsewhere since superhero companies run the world in this universe. Its pretty naive to assume she could just leave. Madeline couldn't even be a mother without getting her face fried off. Also given the nature of the boys universe, i'd imagine other companies are equally as bad if not worse.
