Queens catalog is huge. Over 300 songs. Keep going down the queen rabbit hole . There live performances are incredible R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU

It’s been suggested but you really should watch this live in Montreal 1981.

This song, live (Montreal 1981) - taking a whole audience to church in real time, no backing track or other modern tech “helping” , no ear pieces, only stage monitors to hear themselves .

You gotta check the live performance in Montreal 81. Probably the best example of Freddie singing live. The whole band rocks it, but Freddie soars.

thus the argument still rages forever.........better live or studio album ? Especially with super groups and artists,male and female alike. I think it depends on the song itself ............or better still just listen to both versions ,over and over ! LOL

Thanks, Schuyler... yep.. we went to church (Freddie was inspired by Aretha Franklin when he wrote this..) Everyone will be telling you to see it live... and you should! appreciate your reaction to the "official" version, though.. it is gorgeous...

Dovresti provare la versione live in Montreal 1981 di somebody to love, non te ne pentirai fratello, vedrai tutta la potenza della band in uno spettacolo live. Fidati😊

Freddie was a huge fan of Aretha Franklin, and this is his homage to her. You need to see this live at Montreal.

Freddy is widely considered one of the greatest rock vocalist of all time…. He’s even done an opera duet with a famous Italian opera singer. His vocals are insane!!

i believe it lol

The opera singer was she known as La Superba, Montserrat Caballé - and she was Spanish, not Italian. The name of the album they did together is *Barcelona*, with one of the tracks sharing the name “Barcelona” (which was used for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Unfortunately Freddie had passed in Nov 1991, and so never got to perform it AT the Olympic ceremony). But my personal favorite track on the Barcelona album is “La Japonaise”

Brian May can do anything with that guitar…Ive seen him jogging around live before with the guitar at other live venues…. He’s a master. Freddie was out if this world, did even opera in 1988…an album Barcelona with the famous opera soprano Montserrat Caballe.❤ And Freddie was bisexual, not gay, ( no offense to anyone), but pansexual according to Brian May in an interview in 2008.
@coreywilliams92315 күн бұрын
@@RiverSong5683 you can debate weather he was gay, bi or pansexual , ultimately it's irrelevant. All that should matter is the fantastic musical legacy he left us. Freddie always kept it private.

@@coreywilliams923 Precisely. I really don't comprehend why his sexuality comes up all the time. Whether the song was one he wrote or not, or whether the meaning is clear or totally unknown (as with Bohemian Rhapsody), there will inevitably be numerous comments tying it to his sexual preference. It is bizarre that his preference is seen as what defined him above his immense talent.

Yes, Brian.. and every member of this band... Freddie was unique and amazing.. but Queen would not have been the same without the other three...

Freddie is an amazing lead singer, maybe the best in rock, but those harmonies wouldn’t be possible without the top notch singing from Brian and Roger-Especially Roger’s high notes.
