We got five decades of Bee Gees masterpieces. Their song writing gift is beyond words. Their voices are incredible. They were established in 1958 but started performing when Barry was 9 and the twins were 6. They didn't create a bad song. Their little brother was born in 1958 and his name is Andy Gibb. Please react to him on the Midnight Special singing his first number one hit, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. Enjoy the journey of the Bee Gees.

The Brothers Gibb were famous from the late 1950’s (‘58-59’) to the 2000’s when sadly first Maurice then Robin passed away much to soon. Their considerably younger brother Andy Gibb had great success in the 70’s & 80’s with material written & produced by The Bee Gees and he died much to young and age 42. Oldest brother Barry has been the last Bee Gee since 2012 and I can’t imagine how hard that must be since he, Robin & Maurice performed & did everything together since they were children. One of the most successful bands in history with hits for themselves and others (Songwriters Hall of Fame shows over 1200 songs written by Barry or Robin alone or by all the brothers). They wrote and produced hundreds of hits for other artists as well as writing all their own material. Their harmonies are unmatched, only the Beach Boys came close to that kind of perfection and they were also family (3 brothers & a cousin) so there is definitely something special about the family connection in harmonies. I hope you enjoy the amazing rabbit hole of discovery ahead. They literally do not have any bad songs.

Thank you to the Bee Gees for providing me with the perfect young adult atmosphere to grow up within. I had a blast with the wardrobe, music, the young lady's response, and the experience on how to properly treat a young lady on a date. I think the things I miss the most about being on a date back then is pulling a lady's chair out for her to seat plus having a pleasant conversation and providing a handkerchief for the ladies to use in case they sneezed.

Saturday Night Fever was a resurgence for the Bee Gees in the seventies. The were really big in the sixties, especially in the UK and Australia. They are brothers who were born in England, but moved to Australia, where they grew up. They returned to England in 1967 after they became successful.

The B stood for brothers and the G stood for Gibb. So you have the Brothers Gibb. That was changed to BEE GEES and the rest is history. (By the way, they started singing together, professionally, as prepubescent kids, thus the perfection in their harmonies)

Bill Goode was a racing driver at Redcliffe Speedway where they first performed for coins & his good friend was DJ Bill Gates....who both helped the brothers out in the beginning. With their mother Barbara & Barry's initials also being BG, then it evolved into Bee Gees.🎼

Another comment It was precisely the latter that I wanted to talk to you about. That night ABBA premiered their song "Chiquitita" which was an extraordinary success, especially in Latin American countries like mine, Argentina, in South America. ABBA is a quartet basically made up of two musicians, composers and backup singers, and two female lead singers, who in the beginning were also couples. ABBA has around 20 world hits between 1974/1982, their first hit was "Waterloo" exactly 50 years ago and their biggest hit is "Dancing Queen"; and after almost 40 years they recorded again and released a new album "Voyage" in 2021 Just as the Bee Gees are masters of vocal harmonies, so is ABBA, privileging its female voices That's why it's my suggestion that you react to "Chiquitita" at UNICEF Concert contemporary song from "Too much heaven"😊

Bee Gees were enamored by the Chi Lites, the Delfonics, and other groups that relied on falsetto leads and it had a big impact on them when they went into their R&B phase, when Barry discovered he could sing falsetto. The Mills Brothers were their heros and they actually met them when the bee gees broke their first records.

Welcome to the brothers gibb, I grew up listening to these guys and no you don't get songs like these anymore. Dive in and enjoy, listen to some of their earlier stuff pre-falceto 70's. Barry (center) and Robin to his right did most of the lead vocals Maurice (morris) was more of the "man in the middle" of his two brothers. Robin & Maurice are fraternal twins! Most of my favourites have Robin singing lead or the majority of the lead. He has a haunting voice that is very unique. Sadly, Sir Barry is the only one of the Brothers still with us, not forgetting Andy. I think their sister is still with us but manages to stay out of the limelight!
